1953 Ford Other Ranch Wagon Woody Additional Info:
This 1953 Ford Mainline Woody Wagon is a full custom build with a cool style, custom interior, and fuel-injected power. And it's a true surf wagon, right down to the wood paneling and big sunroof. So dig into all the details on a classic that knows cool style.
This full custom build was done in 2014 and there's less than 5,400 miles on it, so it has a great look that remains fresh. The minty light green looks very period-correct while also conveying the subtle hot rod upgrades. After all, the grille and front bumper are paint while still leaving the trim line and Ford V8 logo to look even bolder. And the custom pinstriping on the smooth hood does a terrific job of leading the way. The lowered stance and frenched taillights add to this very custom look. But we all know what really has caught your eye. By the 1950s Ford was out of the game of producing bodies wood. But the real lumber added to the sides on this custom build look terrific against the green. It really gives this a true beach cruiser vibe.
Inside is more of that full custom feeling that makes you want to take this on road trips. You have two wide benches done in a custom two-tone. And the pattern is even continued on the side panels for a great uniform look. There's an AM/FM/CD stereo tucked away in the glovebox for great driving tunes, and the long webasto-style sunroof lets the sunshine in for everyone. But even when you're just going solo, this custom Ford is great. You have a removable armrest cup holder center console for individual comfort on demand. Plus, there's a tall Lokar shifter, tilt steering column, and a full set of crisp Dolphin gauges. The two-piece tailgate is ideal for carrying everything from sticking your surfboards out the back, to sitting on it while tailgating at car shows.
We've been hinting at a road trip machine for a while, and a big reason for that is also under the hood. You have a proper blue oval V8 upgrade with the hardy 302 cubic-inch unit. It has even been enhanced with an Edelbrock intake and fuel injection. It fires up readily like a proper FI machine should, and the Flowmaster dual exhaust has a nice tune. Since it's pretty fresh from the full restoration, it feels exceptionally confident on the road. Plus, the transmission has been upgraded to a four-speed automatic with highway-friendly overdrive. You also have a Borgeson quick-ratio power steering box and power brakes with upgraded discs up front.
This is the head turning custom that was built to enjoy near or far. So you know you don't want to miss this woody, call today!
