1930 Ford Model A Additional Info:
1930 Ford Roadster with Hop-Up Goodies. Jalopy or Hot-rod is the name from the 40s and 50s. A timeless California Model A Ford Roadster built to be faster, stop and steer better, with a perfect stance, Flathead V8 engine, 40 steelie wheels, a louvered salt lakes hood and a 32 deuce grille. Right out of any old hot rod book. The Henry Ford all steel and full fendered body is rust-free with all factory panels. The original chassis has been upgraded as outlined in Vern Tardel's book- 1932 Ford K member, with 32 pedals and Deuce front wishbone and a Vintage dropped beam axle. F1 steering box with orig. column. 1951 8BA Flathead motor with Edmunds Custom heads and intake manifold with dual carburetors and Edmunds air cleaners. 1939 top loader transmission, 40 rear end and 46 hydraulic(juice) brake system. Stock height folding top and windshield along with 16 inch big and little wide whitewall tires finish the "old timey" look. Pretty much all you could want, unless you like street rods. Seems like a lot of guys are building these for The Race of Gentlemen, Traditional meets or everyday driving. A perfect blend of period correct parts. Recent work includes a new 12 volt battery, rebuilt starter, new master cylinder and bleed brakes. "Peppy and nimble" is how my mechanic describes it. Only selling this as my 32 build is now finished and now need the space. Car is titled and lists CA as previous state. The pictures underneath tell the real story. Fixed price auction.
