1968 Ford Mustang GT Coupe
This is a True factory GT as confirmed by the Marti report and the Build Sheet.
Original paint is Candy Apple Red.
Was being built as a restomod/modern cruiser with Total Control Products Rack & Pinion setup and Coil-Over Suspension so it will drive and handle like a modern sports car.
Engine is a 302 4v with a C4 Auto Transmission. Ran strong and trans shifted perfect when it was pulled 2 years ago for the restoration. Not sure if it's the original engine.
Most of the hard work in replacing all the body panels is done. Minor rust at the lower front doors but it is not rotted through.
New fenders, headlight buckets, splash shield. All pieces are just laid in place and temporarilybolted down so it all needs to have final fitment and adjustment.
Trim moldings, bumpers and most of the parts to put it back together are included.
A partial list of what's new/replaced:
Dash pad, dash trim, door panels, door/window handles. Sound/heat mat laid down over the interior floors.
Interior mainly needs a new steering wheel, instrument cluster bezel, carpet, kick panels and headliner.
Fenders, headlight buckets, suspension, steering, fuel tank, fuel lines, trunk floor, rear suspension (4 leaf mid-eye) and shocks, rear & front brakes/drums.
New Foose 17" wheels and 215/50/17 tires all around.
New American Autowire wiring installed so it has plenty of extra fuse circuits and new blade style fuses. Can use either standard or LED headlamps and Taillights. Underhood wire loom needs to be installed but all instructions in the original box is included. It's pretty much plug and play system.
Great stance with the new and lowered suspension setup.
Great chance to own a true GT project car that just needs final assembly.
Clear Vermont Bill of sale/registration as Vermont is a non-title state for antique vehicles.
