Time to fall in love/lust with one of the best tributes you'll ever find. Because while the exterior looks like a 1968 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 KR, when you look closer, you'll see a custom A/C interior, new paint, five-speed, four-wheel discs, and fresh Cobra Jet V8 power. So it look like an iconic classic, but it's really a full restoration with less than 2,000 miles on it. When building a tribute car that's built to outrun an... original, you must first make sure that the body outshines them all. That's why meticulous care went into this coupe. All the important stuff is here, including a fiberglass hood, hood twist locks, extended nose, quarter panel scoops, and well-integrated trunk lid spoiler. The wide taillights even have the cool sequential turn signals, and there's a snake-bitten gas cap in the center. It's all done over a body that you can really tell they sweated the details to get the gaps looking excellent. You even have Halibrand-style racing wheels complete with Shelby knock-off accents. In fact, there are over $100k in receipts that show the quality that went into this build that was completed in 2013. This full package is wrapped in Wimbledon White with blue racing stripes, because after all, Shelbys look best this way. But the hint of metallic in the blue also tells you this is an upgraded machine. Inside there's a nice mix of vintage and new styles, and it all feels good from a quality investment. For example, the seats have a classic-style pattern, but they are now finished in a supple leather. The door panels, dash, and wood-rimmed steering wheel all have a great vintage look. You even have a GT's proper fold-down rear seat. But this one was also upgraded to offer the best in comfort. That's why there's an armrest center console, cup holders, and cold-blowing R134a air conditioning. Plus, you have the best in electronics with a retro-style digital AM/FM tuner, separate XM satellite radio receiver, and even Bluetooth with a well-integrated microphone for hands-free calling. But what will really get your desire pumping is how this is a great driver's machine. The full gauge package is a crisp and clean upgrade from Classic Instrument's Carroll Shelby collection. And you'll soon discover that the stick shift has more to offer than just the cool carhop on the ball. When you open the hood, this continues to prove how little miles are on the build. The mighty 428 cubic-inch Cobra Jet V8 looks fresh as it fills the engine bay. It has great classic details like the Cobra valve covers and proper ram air element sealing it to the hood. But the modern components all around this reveal the work on this new V8 installed by The Mustang Shop. It's a terrific total package with a Holley dual-feed four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock aluminum heads, and JBA Performance headers feeding the growling dual exhaust. You even have the right supporting components, like the full Tru-Trac serpentine belt system and Griffin aluminum radiator w/dual electric fans. And this one knows how to give you the best control over it all thanks to the Tremec TKO500 five-speed manual transmission. And control is a central theme to this build thanks to power steering, modern Goodyear Eagle F1 tires, and an upgrade to four-wheel disc brakes. The sale comes complete with build receipts and the dyno sheet. This is such a fresh and correct build, you even have the right red oxide on the undercarriage! So you know how cool this GT500 tribute is, and you know you don't want to let it get in someone else's garage. Call today!!!
