Combining a well-configured, lightweight fiberglass body that sits over a stout frame with a potent powerplant on display in its open engine compartment, this 1932 Ford Vicky has that abundant go power you'd associate with its niche, along with a good assortment of aftermarket upgrades to make it an exceedingly strong driver that's also nicely equipped with comfort features. When the original Vickys debuted, America was in the throes of a depression, and since the scarcity of... consumers prompted Ford to release just three cars in the span of two years, they really made their efforts count, as far as style was concerned. With its fiberglass body sitting over a boxed steel frame, this '32 captures the magic of the era very ably. Its appealing red paint produces a solid shine and is ornamented with some sharp pinstriping. The Fords of this era featured ornate front grilles made up of lengthy strips of vertical chrome encased in a rectangular frame, and the styling cue is well-represented here. The open engine compartment puts the powerplant on display, while the chopped cabin strikes a nice balance - it's far more dynamic than those worn by its original class, but not so drastic as to render everyday driving too difficult. In back, a Chevy S10 bumper has been incorporated into the mix - it's shortened and customized to fit seamlessly with the rest of the car. Larger rear wheels equipped with some seriously sizable rubber provide an aggressive inclined stance. The level of comfort found in the cabin of this vintage Ford exceeds expectations. Modded Vickys are generally known for visual impact and strong acceleration and yet this '32 is a well-equipped comfortable cruiser as well. A pair of late model gray leather front buckets join a modified matching rear bench seat and both blend perfectly with their surroundings while showing only the slightest of wear. To each side, the matching door panels have been equipped with custom handles and switches to operate the power windows, while an AM/FM/CD player stands by in the center of the dash to tend to your audio requests. A late model tilt column equipped with a GT Grant steering wheel takes the place of the original, while just in front an assortment of aftermarket gauges stand ready to keep you apprised of pivotal motoring functions. This street machine is equipped with air conditioning - a welcome feature not often found in this niche and, while it will likely need a charge to keep things cool inside, all the plumbing is in place and ready for use. Abundant power comes from a 350 cubic inch V8 holding court in the open engine compartment. With its Edelbrock intake manifold and 4-barrel carburetor on board and functioning in top form, this engine is well-suited for spirited driving and it's in good form. A 4-speed automatic 700r4 transmission sits just behind it and you'll find 4.11 gears in back, so in addition to its strong acceleration and visual impact on the boulevard, this vintage Ford offers nice easy cruising at highway speeds. Coilovers in both front and back provide a surprisingly smooth and refined ride, while power disc brakes at all four corners, with Wilwood calipers in back, bring prompt, fade resistant stops. The aggressively inclined stance on this classic is reinforced with some very serious rubber in back - massive asphalt gripping 295s put this Ford's power to the pavement. This 1932 Ford Vicky is one stylish cruiser that combines a potent drivetrain with a well-equipped interior to provide a great driving experience. Call today!
