PLEASE NOTE...TRUCK IS IN NEW ZEALAND & SHIPPING CAN BE ARRANGED WITH EASE BY US.
Sourced in 2014 from a one owner chap in Southern California...the truck had the obvious signs of being well looked after. Upon entry into NZ the truck was stored until the decision was made whether to restore or create a cool-as work hack. Finally the day come, & as you see....it got the "full resto" it richly deserved.
In near faultless condition, it has been fastidiously restored back to original specifications, including original colour of truck & all parts/inventory.
Engine was pulled down, checked & after new hone marks were established in the bores, it was freshened up with new gaskets & re-assembled.Carburetorwas rebuilt, distributor rebuilt, generator & starter rebuilt, water pump replaced, & all belts & hoses replaced.
Wiper motor, speedometer, & heater were pulled down, greased & rebuilt.
Gearbox was checked, rear seal replaced as was differential.
All the original braking system was fully restored using new or refurbished units.
Brand new BF Goodrich 215-70-15 White Walls on the front and 235-70-15 on the rear...only the best the for this beauty!
The body underwent a full strip down, a small amount of body work, & a full prestigious refinishing job to a highcaliber.
Brand new wood was fitted to the deck, new glass was fitted throughout, seat upholstered and original style wiring installed. All parts, bright-work, & inventory was restored, replaced with "new old stock" or authenticated reproduction parts through the USA's most trusted suppliers.
Extra options that are available upon request are as follows....
1) Set of Triple carbs andair-cleanerson an Offenhauser manifold.2) Brand new unused set of extractors.
3) A pair of BF Goodrich 285-70-15's accompanied by a set of rim bangles to mate to theoriginalrimcenters.
The list goes on really, but this truck must be seen to be appreciated & everyone who sees it is taken by it's outstanding representation of the most arguably desirable American pick-up truck of the 1950's and 60's....a serious investment.
No disappointment with this piece of work...it's good as new, but better, & ready to last a new lifetime for some lucky enthusiast...one could not be built to this level for this price.
