Every year of the first-generation T-Birds were a bit different, and the 1956 Ford Thunderbird is arguably the best of them all. This is sought-after for features like the unique trim and continental kit out back. But really the reason why you are reading this is because there's nothing more beautiful than Ford's personal coupe in a regal white with black accents. We all love a Colonial White T-bird with an iconic porthole hardtop. Even those who don't... immediately think of Suzanne Somers in "American Graffiti" still see the beauty in this icon. This one gets the details right, including the fender skirts, dual soft top & hardtop, whitewalls, and the dual exhaust that still exits through the sculpted corners of the rear bumper (a '56 only feature.) And speaking of that intricate bumper, there was clearly an investment in the chrome work here as well as on the rest of the complete brightwork package. The wraparound front bumper w/dual rockets, grille, hood scoop, jet-like taillights, smooth factory wheel covers, and much more are all part of the shine that makes this a legend. And nothing completes the Thunderbird's iconic look like a full continental spare tire kit. The white hardtop gives this car a star quality, and the black soft top gives it timeless elegance. So if you can't decide between the two, just take the roof off and to showcase the two-tone black and white interior. One of our favorite parts inside is the machined aluminum panel that runs from door panel to door panel to give this the sporty feeling that made this a Corvette rival. It even has a large tach next to cool window-style speedometer. In fact, this whole interior has a great period-correct feeling from the artful steering wheel to the AM radio that's still cranking out tunes. This is a P-code car, and so it's great to see the correct displacement 312 cubic-inch V8 under the hood. In fact, this continues this T-bird's period-correct feeling with the terrific details, like the pie dish air cleaner, big red block, washer fluid bag, and iconic Thunderbird logo valve covers. More than just look great, this V8 fires up with gusto and runs strong. The three-speed automatic transmission makes for easy driving, and the dual exhaust has a nice low V8 burble that's powerful without being overbearing - exactly what you want on a Sunday cruiser. Two-seater Thunderbirds will never go out of style, especially one with the ideal color combo. So don't miss out, call today!
