In a world of hot-rod factories turning out seemingly endless variations of the same car, this 1932 Sedan Delivery is a welcome bit of contrast. Sure, it's fiberglass, but the extra effort to make it unique really pays off with a cool look and impeccable attention to detail, making this one truly stand out. The Gibbons Fiberglass Sedan Delivery body style is the ideal blend of sporty and practical. Not as restrictive as a coupe, this streetrod... manages to combine roominess with vintage design, a typically tall task for the hobby. As you can see, the builder nailed the 1932 Ford look, with an aggressively raked stance, 2" chopped roof, deleted fenders and running boards, and slick blue paint to make it stand out. That brilliant blue paint is simply gorgeous and there must be hundreds of hours in the prep work and final finish, making this a car that will turn heads everywhere it goes. The three-piece hood and '32 grille give it a neatly finished look, but they didn't waste time on extraneous details: no pinstripes or graphics, no superfluous chrome, and they kept the rear hatch hinged and functional, adding a unique accessibility point not often seen in streetrods. With paint-matched rear glass, simple spreader bars fore and aft, and that big protruding motor, it looks timeless and sleek and likely always will. They colored a bit outside the lines for the interior too, giving it a custom look with interesting materials. The tweed bench seat is nicely upholstered to be both striking and comfortable, with a pattern that flows through the entire cabin. Matching door panels look dramatic and the fully finished cargo area is big enough to fit all your car show accessories. Features like an overhead console, a tilt column, billet armrests, and an AM/FM/CD stereo in that overhead console are all included, as you'd expect from a quality rod like this. The gauges are from Autometer and are fitted neatly into the dash for a clean look that doesn't seem to be trying too hard. Power windows are an added luxury, and the four built-in storage panels in the rear cargo area help with organization. All-in-all, a well-planned interior design executed wonderfully. Mechanically, this one was built to run, and scare the neighbors every time it's cranked up. Power comes from a highly built Chevy 350 cubic inch V8 (ask us for the specs, they're too lengthy to list here), but it doesn't stop there. A massive 671 Weiand blower is camped on top and joined by dual Edelbrock 600CFM carbs, pushing this supercharged system to crank out roughly 600HP. Longtube headers feed into a dual exhaust system that features Borla mufflers, adding a throaty baritone to the supercharger's healthy whine. Everything is polished, plated, or painted, which is important when your engine is on display and you can see that a lot of extra time went into making the wiring and plumbing look neat. With a built 700R4 automatic transmission and 4.11 gears out back inside the Ford 9" rear, it's a streetrod that is ready to rip red light-to-red light. The chassis and most of the components are fully polished, and the underbody is painted to match the bodywork, so get ready to set those mirrors up at the car show, you'll want to show off all that bling. It's only been driven 1,273 miles since it was completed, so you know it's been sorted and it still looks fantastic. Shiny American Racing Torque Thrust wheels have a retro look and carry a big-n-little tire combination that gives the car a killer hot rod rake. This gorgeous Sedan Delivery is an awesome way to stand out in a crowd without completely reinventing the wheel, but rather just tweaking it. Fully sorted and ready to go, it's always smartest to buy someone else's finished car. Call today!
