1966 Ford Galaxie Custom Additional Info:

Rare opportunity to buy a real documented special order 4 speed, 4 door, 428, Cop car! Extremely rare and unique to have come from the factory ordered with a 428 Q-Code and a 4 speed manual transmission with bucket seats in a 4 door. This car was ordered by the Douglas County Sheriffs Department (Omaha, NE) with quite a few unusual options. Transistorized Ignition, Heavy Duty Riveted Brakes with manual adjusters, 55 Amp Alternator, Left Hand Spot Light, Enforcer Police Package. All of this has been documented with a copy of the special order form (micro phish)matching the 6 digit DSO obtained from Kevin Marti (Marti Auto Works). I can only assume this is a 1 of 1 car due to its unusual equipment. This car has sat for decades and will need a total restoration. The frame is very solid (common to be rusty on this era Ford). The floors have some rust the trunk has some rust. The RH fender has damage but I have a better one that is included. The side glass has been broken/shot out at some point but I have a set from another 4-door that will go with. The engine appears to be original to the car by the date code but it does not turn (stuck). It does have the correct HEH-CG big in and out Top loader 4-speed as well as the correct 3.25 9-3/8 rear axle. The transistorized ignition amplifier is under the dash along with the unique resistor and junction block on the inner fender the wiring however is chewed up. Correct 4-speed radiator is still intact. Correct shifter, Certified Calibration speedometer is there. XL type bucket seats (as stated on the special order report) are in the car. This car was originally all Wimbledon White. There is evidence of the siren and the lights on the roof. The second owner purchased this car in 1968 at the state auction. He painted it brown and drove if for approx 10 years. The fender was damaged in his driveway by plumber installing a new sewer line. The car was then moved to the farm parked. It has a clean Nebraska title. We (Mike's Classic Cars) had always intended on doing a ground up restoration on this car but we have been busy with customer cars and have not gotten to it.Any questions please call 402-289-9310 ask for Eric
