1966 Ford Galaxie Additional Info:
I think here is the rare find of the day. This is a one year only optioned 1966 Ford custom 500, P Code Police Interceptor, UNMOLESTED!!!!!! original engine 428 Police Interceptor 360 HP Solid Lifters (early 66 car), special C6 trans, 2.80 ratio rear end, 15" Kelsey wheels, C6AE-9425-H Factory Aluminum Intake, Engine Tag 428 66 1 D 405 S, Carb tag C6A-K D 6CC. No power steering, no AC, it does have power brakes. This car runs and yard drives, Brakes are weak from sitting, Engine runs good, trans shifts strong, I have a video i am trying to post of the car running. I installed a set of used tires to move it around the shop. Just finding one this correct with all the original pieces is a huge plus for restoration, plus it running. I have researched and found that the 67 Shelby GT500 was equipped with the PI engine, not sure if any of those were solid lift engines. The body does have some rust, bottoms of doors, battery box area, front floor pans has some, cowl looks good, top does have drilled holes for roof light bar. Car was repainted at some time to a light blue. It has no paint code on the door data plate. Overall this car for original condition is fairly good, and I think great for a police car collector. I have NC State Inspection receipts dating back from 1999 when it was parked to 1973 and each one of them have the mileage stated on the copy showing the actual mileage as the years passed. Any questions will be answered daily. and any other info needed will be provided if possible. I would love to keep this car as a driver, but too many other projects going. Hopefully someone else will see the need to restore this and enjoy it. Will be sold with a Current GA Registration and Bill of Sale, and a copy of a GA Vin.# Verification Form thru local Police Dept/Sheriffs Office and NCIC for proof of ownership That is all you need to get a title in your state if your state issues titles for vehicles this old. GA does not issue titles for vehicles older than 1985 models. Thanks and Good Luck.
