1965 Ford Thunderbird Coupe Additional Info:

It's time to move this beautiful Ford Thunderbird on. I have done loads of work, you will need to finish.
This is a very solid local car that has 111k miles, no rust.
I bought this car from a gentleman who spent many thousands, I have a ton of receipts, and sold it to me non-running.
The car was professionally painted in beautiful Wimbledon White, the paint remains gorgeous with only a couple of nicks from normal use, the inside of the trunk and hood where painted, as where the doors. New rubber window seals everywhere. new interior including a custom stitched leather dash, and new headliner. This was all done about 10 years ago and still presents very well.
I rebuilt the orginal 390 CI V8 with new stock pistons, bearings, aluminum water pump, valves, bronze valve guides to run unleaded. I love the " Ford" valve covers, so I added a set.
The Cruise o matic 3 speed was rebuilt. New exhaust system, new engine mounts, alternator. This was all done around 4k miles ago.
Recently I rebuilt the front suspension with new bushings, upper and lower ball joints, new brake pads.
I have only driven a few miles since then, I have not had time to align the front end, so don't drive far until you get this done. There is a knock under tight turns sometimes, I think the front sway bar bushing maybe at fault, I didn't do that.
Other stuff: New fuel line, new driveshaft bushings, new powersteering lines, new heater core.Stuff that needs doing.
The rear end needs servicing, bearings, it is starting to growl, this has not changed since I bought the car.
The steering colomn needs new bearings, it is loose up and down, driveable but doesn't feel nice.
The dash lights and guages need fixing, I have a headlight switch that may fix some of this, I installed a remote water temp guage and oil pressure gauge.
The vacuum for the heater and parking brake release needs to be fixed. The heater works with a temp on off inline cable I installed.
I put an inline carter electric fuel pump on, thinking it would work better than the manual fuel pump, it does, but it is pretty loud, take it off or isolate it better should help.
I think the p/s is still leaking a little, not sure where. The AC has not yet been re-installed by me, I have all the part for that, not sure of the compressor condition.I have a number of spare parts that will go with the car, including manual pump, workshop manual, 4 hub caps, box of bits.I have tried to be very honest about this car. Please don't buy and expect to drive hundreds of miles from here until you fix the steering column and alignment. However, if you are looking for a basic, solid car with no rust, great paint and lovely interior. This is your car.
Please understand that it needs work, and, sorry purists, would make an amazing custom basis. I bought this car because I know that the bodywork and interior are the most expensive parts of a useable restoration.
Please have some knowledge of cars if you intend to buy this car :) Have I down sold it enough? Just don't want you to be surprised. All questions repectfully answered.
Shipping is up to you.
Thanks.
