1978 Ford F-250 Custom Additional Info:
I have decided to liquidate a 20 year collection of trucks. Many never make it to eBay but you have probably seen some of my crew cabs I have sold posted on Pinterest and other social media by their new owners. Especially the black one that is considered by most the nicest 1978-79 crew cab in the world. This red one is not laser straight but is it's priced thousands below what I get for show trucks that I have sold over the years.
- Title in hand in my name
- If you want rectangular headlamps instead of round just ask
- Transfer rear axle front axle serviced, greased tie rod ends
- BRAKES; (front) new rotors, calipers, brake pads, bearings races and seals and both front brake hoses. brake lines from master cylinder to proportion valve were bad so I replaced them with good used ones. (rear) new brake shoes, bearing seals, all brake hardware and springs and wheel cylinders (emergency brake) new front and both rear emergency brake cables. Replaced and painted pedal assembly. (other) installed new master cylinder and rebuilt brake booster
- Added a leaf to front spring pack, new tie bolts, torqued 50 ft lb to specs, replaced 2 bad spring u bolts torqued all u bolts to 110 ft lb which is specs
- Installed 4 new Rancho 5000 RS shocks
- Has front and rear stabilizer bars and bushings in good shape
- New 18x10 gear wheels with new Nitto AT/Terra Grappler G2 325/65 18s
- 410 gears rear 409 front (factory ratios)
- New heater core, hoses, clamps, and heater hose retainer
- Front axle joints good and no axle seal leakage, bump stops look like new, this truck has not seen a lot of time off road
- New F-250 emblems and Crew cab emblems
- Installed new voltage regulator, solenoid, alternator, battery cables, battery, new premium top cord alternator belt
- Installed newly rebuilt power steering pump, premium power steering belt, replaced pump return line
- Installed new Holley 670 CFM dual feed carburetor, upgraded fuel lines, new high volume Holley mechanical fuel pump, Edelbrock Performer 400 intake with Moroso 1 in thermal riser plate, Ford racing aluminum valve covers. Installed ARP valve covers studs and nuts with new reusable felpro performance gaskets, chrome PCV breather, new air cleaner assembly
- Replaced transmission modulator rubber hoses upper and lower
- Replaced distributor riser, installed new distributor cap and rotor, new auto light 25 spark plugs, new plug wires, new ignition module, new PCV valve and valve to carb hose and clamps
- Painted fluid dip stick handles and power steering cap yellow for ease of location
- Ran compression check on motor good results and great oil pressure, hot and cold
- New door seals on all 4 doors and new door strikers
- Removed 5 blade fixed fan and replaced with 7 blade clutch fan, installed fan shroud, new antifreeze tested to -45 new 13 lb radiator cap
- THIS MAY SOUND LIKE A LOT OF WORK, BUT EVEN THE PRETTIEST VEHICLES DON'T LOOK GOOD SITTING ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD!
Most my auctions don't go the whole duration, my trucks are also for sale locally if there is no bid I reserve the right to end the auction early.
