1957 Ford Fairlane Convertible Additional Info:

Up for grabs is a 57 Ford Fairlane 500 Convertible Project car . Its a blast from the past ! Classic line, that scream the fifties ! It has a clear title in my name . Mileage shows 101057 non-actual on the title . Odometer shows 61K which was supposed to be correct ? . It is a V8 2 barrel Y block engine with a Automatic transmission . It was a light starkist blue originally . The history that I got was .... It was purchased around 1968 driven until the later -70s then put into the garage . The owner wanted to restore i, but had a famil, and as usual it just sat for 30+ years . He did lube the cylinders from time to time. I have not tried to turn it over . He passed awa, and the family pushed it outside on dolly wheels and it slid into the grass . They couldn't push it bac, so it sat there for about 2 years . I got it with big plan, but I to, have too many irons in the fir, and it needs to go to a good home . The interior is all ther, the door cards and rear panel are very useabl, the seats need re done . The top is history for sure ! Top motor and lines are all present . Glass is good shap, window frames aren't bad either . Body is in pretty good shap, the worst part is the drivers fender . Body is pretty straigh, straight grill and bumper . Frame has scale but appears to be solid as well . As far as I kno, the only missing Items are the trunk emble, the hood emble, one rear eyebrow over the right tail ligh, and 1 valve cover. I lost it on the move home somehow . The hard to find gold trim is all there . We also have the rear bumper and it has been re chromed . If your wanting a ragtop to restore or resto-mo, this is a good one to start with . I have seen complete junk re don, this one is not complete junk . could be a show stopper . A friend has a good running Crown Vic with police intercepter engine and trans if you want to go high tec, He wants a grand for the whole car .
