1966 Ford Thunderbird Additional Info:

After 13 years of ownership the time has come to sell the best classic car I've ever had. She just came out of an expensive mechanical overhaul to prepare her for sale. Work done included professionally rebuilt transmission, power-steering system, all new hydraulic lines for top operation, new exhaust pipe, modernized sequential turn lamps, new motors for both main and both rear vent power windows, and more.

Options: 428 C.I. engine, 6-way power driver's seat, all power windows (including vents), power locks, power antenna, Tonneau cover (which can be removed and re-installed by one person if necessary).
Engine is strong and has never caused me any problems whatsoever.

This was originally a California car and is an older restoration so it is about a #3 with the usual minor cosmetic flaws you would expect on a car restored over 13 years ago. I've put about 6,000 miles on her since purchasing the car and I tend to be a bit obsessive about keeping her looking as close to perfect as possible, but this is by no means a "trailer queen." This is a car that is meant to be driven and cruses down the highway like the road was made for her.

The five digit only odometer reads about 22,000 miles. I'm going to guess 122,000 but with a 52 year old car, with who knows how many owners, your guess is really as good as mine. She's certainly solid without much in the way of rattles or squeaks.

It is a bit tough to see her go, especially with all the new upgrades. This T-Bird drives beautifully, looks great, and will be missed.
There are a few things about the car I want to mention. A couple of the power options are not functional. The power antenna, for instance, is stuck in the down position. The power locks only function to lock the doors (a loose hose needs to be reattached under the dash to fix this), power windows stick from time to time but are otherwise fully functional. There is a discoloration on the left forward section of the power top which is visible in the photos. The painted area below the right rear bumper has a few rust bubbles, and there is also some minor surface rust on the wire wheels that I have not taken the time to remove in its entirety. Again, please see photos. A videos showing perfectly working operation of the retractable roof can be seen on you tube channel Sarg1927 ND.
She has an aftermarket cassette deck with two functional aftermarket door speakers, one on each side. The drivers side speaker is detached and can be easily re-installed.Lack of storage requires quick sale."Personal inspection by you or a third-party classic car inspector is not a problem if you give me sufficient notice (48 hours preferred).

IMPORTANT: Buyer must make a $500 cash deposit within 24 hours of decision to buy. The balance must be paid in cash, or by certified bank check within 7 days.If you plan to ship the car all shipping arrangements must be handled by you.
