1964 Ford Thunderbird Convertible Additional Info:
Get ready for spring cruising with this beautiful 1964 Thunderbird convertible. Considered one of the most luxurious cars of its time, t comes equipped with a power roof, ower seats, ual zone AC (in 1964!) and a lot of extras. I replaced the entire exhaust system several years ago. Other than that Ihave never had any mechanical issues.
It´s in great shape for a 1964 model but has normal wear in the passenger areas and one small bubble on the quarter panel (it´s been there since I bought it). The engine runs strong but blows some smoke when you first start it up. All in all, t´s a really solid car.
True story - the grandmother of my brother in law came out to my house for Mother´s Day several years ago. When she saw the car she asked if we could go for a drive. She told me that she grew up poor and never thought she´d ever be in a car like this one. We drove with the top down for about an hour. When we got back, he was crying. She said it was the best Mother´s Day present she had ever received. She died later that year of cancer, ut I felt that riding in the car had allowed her to cross one thing off her bucket list.
It´s a cool car and a great way to spend a few hours with the wind in your hair.
