1967 Ford F-100 Custom Cab Additional Info:
Selling our 1967 Ford F100 Custom Cab. I had bought this from the original owner 3 years ago that has since passed away. I will best describe it as I can being the owner & not a reseller. It was a one-owner truck since new. I am the 2nd owner. Built in Texas, it lived most of its entire life in dry, rust free New Mexico as well as he had it garaged except for the last 2 months to current. In 2000-01 the owner had done a total frame off restoration on it. I believe he said it was in some old truck magazine as a feature truck back then. The body is awesomely straight with no dents nor bondo that I can find by observation & magnet when I purchased this and went over it all. This is a low production special two-tone paint in Wimbledon White & Rangoon Red as noted in the Marti Report. There are some cosmetic flaws I'll point out in pics as well. Located only along the bed, where above the chrome side bed trim, just above it an inch & half, that indentation that runs front to back, has some light bubbling along it, most likely poor paint prep underneath from way back, only in some areas along that. Hard to see in pics from phone but if desire more pics I can borrow a regular camera & take more. There is also a very small 2" by 1/4" of rust on the lower drivers side front fender as seen in the pic but despite that, the fender is solid. The clear coat across the top of the bed sides, tailgate & some areas on the rooftop as seen in pics. Those are the only visible flaws when closeup.Original back window was replaced with a sliding window. Chromed front bumper & has a heavy duty rear bumper with receiver but I never had anything to tow with it or need thereof.Everything in the dash is original, nothing cut out or hacked. It does have an older aftermarket AM/FM Cassette stereo, which itself should be upgraded, doesn't work great at all. All gauges work, wipers, headlights, heater, electric overdrive, etc. Speakers in doors & in headliner are good. The windshield has I recall, two small circular chip dings in it, not in line of sight that will NOT spread out over time. It has a crack on top of the dash vinyl in pic. No rips or tears visible in the bench seat and was redone when restored. Tires 80+% tread left. The original engine was completely rebuilt as well, bored .30 over. It's the original 352 BB, ONLY made in '66-'67 with the factory Thunderbird heads! The factory 2bbl manifold was swapped by orig owner for an Edelbrock Torquer 4bbl manifold with a Carter AFB carb on top. Runs excellent, sounds great as you can hear in video link at the end & does not burn or leak any oil. Headers replaced the original exhaust manifolds however I believe I may have & if so, will go with it. I also have many extra original parts, a new OEM gas tank, radiator & misc boxes of other factory parts that came with it when I bought it, as well as some new replacement misc parts in boxes from the orig owner I haven't even gone through when I bought it, but they too will go with the truck. Also installed a new starter. I had only driven this truck less than 1900-2100 miles in the last 3 years since I acquired it, mainly just to area car meets & shows. The longest 'drive', just over 400 miles doing a Sun Valley loop through the mountains. It was down almost 9 months after a long exhaustive nationwide search finding replacement gears for the Borg Warner trans & OD prior to rebuild. Not so common as I'd have thought. The original transmission, is the Borg Warner T85N-1-A with the RARE, R-11 Overdrive! Both were gone through last winter by a local transmission shop and the only thing they decided on aside from the gears, was to install heavy duty shifting forks & spring in the T-85N. A new clutch, pressure plate & flywheel was also installed with less than 250 miles use. The rare factory optioned R-11 electric overdrive was also rebuilt with less than 250-300 miles on both the trans & Over drive. Shifting is a smooth 3 on the tree.Outside body, the bed is solid & amazingly straight on both sides without any signs of prior bodywork at all. Inside the beds integrity is great as well. Orig owner mounted a military ammo box that holds tools. Same with the fenders & doors, solid & straight. Whole under frame, solid rust free except surface rust, it's in 'A' condition.I wouldn't hesitate to drive this coast to coast. Starts, runs & drives like a dream. Paint is an 8 of 10, I grade that mainly because the clear coat across the bed rails on top & the back tailgate and roof in spots. Hood, doors & elsewhere, again, vg-ex cond. NO scratches or scrapes, gouges, etc.I get so many compliments on this each & every time I am out in it. For Ford lovers, especially from the northeast where I am originally from, you just don't find this type of survivor truck as solid as this being they've rusted out from the salt & wet weather. I am in high desert here in the Boise Idaho area where its very dry, hardly rain nor snow/salt, so the whole body integrity is as it was as if a few years since new. Have the Marti Report to view in the pics that will go with it and they sent the door & data tags with rivets to go with it to install.I bought this with full intentions of keeping well into my retirement as an investment specifically because of this low production pain/engine & rare trans/OD combination & now I am reluctantly selling it. I can't keep to sit & just look at. Just 5+ weeks ago, I had a surgery on my right hand that I didn't wait to heal fully and now because of being impatient during recovery, I can no longer reliably shift it or anything now for that fact.I am listing with a modest reserve for it's condition well under NADA Classic book average that will be for almost what I paid for it when I bought it. The Buy It Now isn't even including the extra $3800+ in repair/rebuild/upgrades & then some. Please bid on it only if interested in buying it and have the money to pick up within 7 days. I would like a $500 deposit to paypal at end of auction if plan on paying cash, unless using Buy It Now then, to be paid within 7 days.. The rest is due in 7 days, cash, Paypal or wire transfer. The buyer is responsible for shipping and I Will help set up shipping if needed. I can hold as long as you need here for shipping but it wont be garaged. I'd advise after purchase, fully insuring it though. Haggerty Classic Ins., having seen it, insured it at between NADA's Avg Ret & High Retail for replacement value. Again, a fly & drive I would not hesitate at all. Otherwise the extra parts that go with it, some will fit inside the cab, others would then have to be shipped, unless driven, put in the bed.I have a clean & clear title on it. I hope I explained everything well as I may seem to have over-explained, but I described as best that I would want to know as a buyer myself, so if you have any other questions or need specific pictures of anything, email or call/txt me at 208-860-0778 and I'll get back as soon as possible. Leave a msg as too many Robo calls, I gave up answering. This IS an investment & I want you to be happy with the purchase! If you would like an independent to come see and evaluate, you are more than welcome to, please feel free to contact me as well for arrangements. I reserve the right to end this auction early as I will be listing it locally. I will reject any bids with less than 10+ positive feedbacks. Please bid with confidence & check my feedback!
