1966 Ford F-100 CUSTOM CAB F250 SHORTBED 2WD Additional Info:
WE ARE PLEASED TO PRESENT THIS GORGEOUS LITTLE 66 FORD PICKUP. THE TRUCK HAD BEEN STORED AND WORKED ON SPORADICALLY THROUGHOUT THE LAST 15 YEARS BY THE OWNER WE BOUGHT IT FROM. THE CAB AND BED WERE REMOVED AND THE CHASSIS WAS CLEANED, PRIMED AND COATED WITH RUST PREVENTATIVE COATINGS IN BLACK. EVERYTHING IS IN THE PROPER PLACE WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE DUAL MUFFLERS IN LIEU OF A SINGLE EXHAUST. THE TRUCK CAME EQUIPPED FROM THE FACTORY AS IT APPEARS TODAY WITH A C6 AUTOMATIC, POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES. THE CARB IS A BRAND NEW HOLLEY 2V AND THE MOTOR PURRS LIKE A KITTEN. WE DID NEW FUEL PUMP, FUEL FILTERS, FUEL LINES, CARB, PLUGS, WIRES, HEAT JACKETS, AND USED A SET OF S CODE 390 VALVE COVERS. THE CASTING NUMBER ON THE MOTOR IS C6ME SO WE BELIEVE IT'S THE STOCK MOTOR WITH A REBUILD WITHIN THE LAST FEW MILES. THIS IS A CUSTOM CAB TRUCK WITH PADDED DASH AND A CUSTOM CAB DASH BOARD. THERE IS A BRAND NEW FUEL SENDING UNIT IN THE TANK BUT THE FUEL GAUGE IS STILL ERRATIC AND WHOLLY INACCURATE. WE WILL TRY AND FIND A NEW GAUGE. WE RE-WIRED THE STEERING COLUMN AND LIGHTING. SINCE THE NEW TURN SIGNAL SWITCH DID NOT COME WITH A HORN CONTACT WE HAD TO INSTALL AN AUXILIARY HORN BUTTON UNDER THE STEERING COLUMN FOR THE DUAL HORNS TO OPERATE CORRECTLY.. THE CHASSIS AND STEERING ARE ABSOLUTELY AWESOME ON THIS TRUCK AND 65 DOWN THE FREEWAY IS SOLID AS A ROCK WITH NO WANDER OR PULL. THE POWER BRAKES STOP "RIGHT NOW" AND THERE ARE NO LEAKS THAT WE HAVE SEEN. THE BODY AND PAINT ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AND THERE IS NO EVIDENCE OF BODY RUST OR BED RUST. THERE IS A PIC OF THE DRIVER SIDE FLOOR PAN SHOWING A SMALL AREA OF RUST REPAIR DONE BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER AND A SMALL CRACK IN THE PAINT AT THE DRIVER SIDE OF THE BED. DRIVING THIS TRUCK IS A VERY SIMPLE PROCEDURE AND IF GRANDMA NEEDS IT THERE ARE NO WORRIES. IT'S EASY TO START, STOP, STEER, AND CRUISE AND LOOKS COOL DOING IT.
