You are looking at a very nice and very rare 1968.5 Ford Mustang Fastback R Code!!!! Yes, this car came originally equipped with the famous and powerful 428 Cobra Jet Engine, rated at 335HP!!
This is one of the best driving and most powerful mustangs I've ever had. Its also beautiful. Nut and bolt restoration was done on this car. It looks better in person than it does in pictures which usually isnt the case.
The 1968.5 Mustangs started production in April, 1968, and this car was built on July 9th, 1968. This car had a very nice option list which can be seen below on check out the picture of the Marti Report. It came equipped with a C6 transmission and a 3.91 Traction Lok rear axle ratio which would move this car down the road with fast acceleration and a lot of torque.
This car was sent to Village Ford Sales in Ridgewood, NJ when new, and has never left the area until recently when it was acquired from the previous owner who garage kept the car for over 30 years and who personally restored the car himself, and with Concourse Shelby’s and other mustangs alike.

This car is a beautiful Candy Apple Red with black interior. The paint is immaculate and shows extremely well. The car has power disc brakes, power steering, and large sway bar and is truly just an amazing driving car.
This is a show car. It is not a concourse car, but an extremely nice high grade show car.
This car fires right up, drives extremely smooth, stops great, all electrical and mechanical systems work just as they should. This car just exhibits a high grade high quality mustang, just as a rare car like this should. Tight driving car. Very responsive steering and throttle, no loud rattles or anything. Very tight car.

Interior:
Interior is Beautiful, very original, black in color. Has a folddown rear seat as it did from the factory. Nothing in the interior has been changed from the factory style. An aftermarket tach has been added, that’s it. Interior is very nice with no rips or tears in any of the seats, headliner or anything. Original carpet slightly faded but nothing like original carpet.
Body and Paint:
The body of this car is FANTASTIC. This car has ZERO rust and is straight as an arrow. The body gaps are great everywhere. The doors, hood, trunk etc all open and shut perfectly. This car has been garage kept most of its life and certainly for the past 30 years.
The paint is honestly immaculate. The pictures do not do the paint justice. It has been hand rubbed to perfection in my opinion. The car was originally lime gold, but the previous owner loved red and had it painted this beautiful Candy Apple Red. A lot of money was spent on the paint job on this car.
The underneath of the car is very nice. Nicely painted suspension parts, very straight and rust free floors, frame rails etc. Redone Power steering unit and front and rear suspension. Car was nut and bolt restored back in the mid to late 2000's and has been garage kept since.
The only places I see is a small paint bubble on the hood, and some slight paint chipping around the hood scoop on the inside.
Glass:
All of the glass is in excellent condition. Windows roll up and down just as they should, nice and smooth, and seal tight.
Suspension and Brakes:
The suspension on this car has all been updated when the car was repainted. The suspension is all stock ford engineering design, coil spring front, and leaf spring rear.
Power Disc Brakes on the front, drum brakes rear. Beautiful black painted 9” rear end to put all that Ford Big Block power to the ground.
