1939 Ford Other Additional Info:
1939 ford convertible sedan, running driving project in excellent shape. It's stock except for a later (46-48) 59a flathead, the engine runs great, has new water pumps, fuel pump, adapted 12v coil, 12v alternator, new battery, it fires right up and runs smooth, a new walker radiator keeps it cool, trans shifts smoothly. all new brake parts, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, shoes, lines, hoses, etc. the car can be driven as is but still needs some wiring finished (lights/dash) before it's really rear for the road. new white wall bias ply tires.interior is old 50's vinyl, has new old stock gauges, original banjo wheel in great shape, new windshield glass and rubber. Body wise it's excellent, not the typical rust bucket this car has lived in the dry inland so-cal environment most of its life, few very small rust spots in the rear doors, fronts both have small (about 3"x3") patches in one corner, fenders are all in good shape with a few small dings and the rear have a tiny bit up rust coming through in the very bottom of the back, hood is in great shape and actually fits the fender line quite well (rare for a 39/40)deck lid is perfect, the floor is immaculate, nicest early ford floor I've ever seen. The top as well as all the other impossible to find convertible specific parts are with the car including, B-pillar brackets, visor brackets, antenna, etc, it also has a brand new wood kit for the top. all stainless window surrounds and regulators are there and in great shape. There's quite a few extra parts included with the car, another set of old door panels to take the stainless trim off of if wanted, extra regulators, trim parts, etc. this is a great car that fires right up, doesn't smoke, runs great, has a clean title but isn't currently registered. extremely rare early ford project or just do a few little things and enjoy it as is. located 30 miles north of san diego, the car is advertised locally and I would encourage anyone who is interested in the car to come see it in person, I can be reached at (760)- eight one five-3234 call between 5-8pm pacific time
