How cool is this vintage California Van?! Is this the same one we saw at the intersection of Haight-Ashbury when we had Flowers in our hair? Well, indeed, it could have been! Our seller is the second owner and purchased this VERY cool van in California in 1984. It’s been California registered in his name since his purchase. It’s been driven very few mile since the new starter, clutch, fuel pump, thermostat and brakes were done. Our seller tells us that it may need a tuneup and exhaust work. The interior is original! It was repainted in 1978 and, well, “is what it is”! It comes with the original Ford Truck Owner Identification Card (Sold new to the original owners in Santa Clara California).
The mileage “showing” is 37,809. It is the optional 170 CID (101 Horsepower) with the 4 speed column mounted transmission shift. Check out the passenger side clam shell doors with the slide-out/retractable step... the step automatically slides out when the doors open and retracts when the doors close!
