1963 Ford Falcon Club Wagon Deluxe Additional Info:
Up for auction is my 1963 Ford Falcon Club Wagon Deluxe Van.
I purchased the van 4 years ago and it has been a long term project.I have taken care to do all repairs with the highest quality in mind, as I was not planning on selling it.
Body: The van was very solid when I purchased it but needed some replacement panels. All replacement panels were bought from Mac's Auto Parts. The rust that it had was professionally cut out and replaced with new metal by a qualified body repairman. It was primed and spot painted in original color and blended to match the remaining original paint. All glass is in good shape and roll down or pop out as they should.
Drivetrain : It has the factory inline 6 engine and 3 speed column shift transmission. Motor and transmission are in great condition. The van runs shifts and stops as it should.Carburetor was dismantled and cleaned and rebuilt. No sputters and runs awesome.Radiator was flushed clean, recored, painted, new hoses, new temp gauge, and reassembled. New Coil was also replaced.
Electrical: All lights, wipers & horn work as the should. Wiper switch sticks and might need to be replaced.
Interior: Original driver and passenger seats in o.k. condition (original material could use recover). Front door panels were custom made by previous owner. I have the original metal door panels plus thematching front vinyl door panels with the trim, but they could use recovering. No rear seats and the floors were in good shape. They were sanded by hand, primered and painted black with Rustoleum Bed Liner Coating. I had a rug cut to size and laid in rear cargo area as well as a 1/2" thick rubber mat. All rear panels were made new out of pre-finished birch plywood. Custom matching curtains make the interior finish nice and usable.
Wheels: From Wheel Vintiques. 15x6 in the front, and 15x7 in the rear with good tires in good condition.
Notes: I have lots of spare parts that I will include in the sale such as the original side step, exterior moldings to complete the front doors, some aluminum backing that goes behind the trim, a new roof vent w/ 12 volt fan, door limit straps, front metal door panels, along with vinyl door panels and moldings, and a box full of odds and ends and clips for the exterior trim.
This is a very rare van, and in very good condition. Very fun to drive and gets lots of attention everywhere it goes. Very hard to find them like this. I would keep it but life events are forcing this sale. My reserve is set at less than half my investment, so GOOD LUCK BIDDING. The van is located in Miami Florida. I encourage you to come and inspect it before bidding. Look closely at the pictures and ask any questions you may havebefore bidding, I will be happy to answer. I have a memory stick full of pictures since day one, and I'm willing to share the pictures. Buyer pays for shipping. Happy Holidays!
