1930 Model ARoadster
Up for auction is a 1930 Model A roadster. This car had a professional frame off restoration fifteen years ago, and has only been driven 730 miles in the past 15 years.
The paint job is excellent, but it does have a few chips on the fenders and one small paint bubble on one of the doors.
The engine starts on the first crank and runs fine with plenty of power. There is a parade exhaust whistle on the number one spark plug as can be seen in one of the pictures. The car has been converted to 12 volt to make the headlights brighter using H4 bulbs. A 12 volt alternator was also installed.
The car is all steel except for the rumble seat lid which is fiberglass. The complete interior, rumble seat cushions, and top, are all LaBaron Bonney.
Although the car is a 1930, it is registered as a 1929. Maybe because the only number on the car is the number on the engine which was manufactured in late 1929????
I have owned this car for over six years and do not use it enough. It needs a new home and more use.
Also included are many Model A Restoration books and part catalogs. Almost any part can be replaced on these model A's.
