Features: When finding this rare vehicle, in 2013, a build sheet was located under the rear seat, in addition to the other two that were located under the dash previously, this car now has three build sheets to verify its authenticity! During its clean up the car was professionally detailed and drive train remained original. This car was found in a local garage and was sitting there off the floor since 1973 with 30 blankets covering it. This car was purchased from the original owner’s daughter and has been in the family since its original purchase in 1966. Because of the uniqueness of the ‘K” Code engine, careful consideration went into identifying and decoding the engine components. Included with sale are detailed photographs highlighting the authentic high performance components. A bit more about the engine, the intake cast is dated April 1966 and it was optioned from the original owner to take the $73 upgrade of an offenhauser intake with a 460 cfm auto lite carburetor when purchasing the Paxton super charger. It has the heavy duty timing chain and solid lifters; all in great condition due to the one owner vehicle and discovering the engine had not been rebuilt prior. The VIN Stamp is visible on engine block as well as the engine cast number; the cast number is dated April 1966. It has the factory ”K” Code heads, heavy duty main bearings, screw in studs, heavy duty connecting rods, large harmonic balancer, forged aluminum pistons, original dual-point distributor and the factory original exhaust manifolds. Indeed, this is a very special engine and a very special car. When installing the new clutch a picture of the back of the block was taken showing the "factory" paint markings of "HP" for high performance.
