1971 Ford Thunderbird 2 door hardtop Additional Info:
Selling our nice looking 1971 Thunderbird. We got a surprise tax bill this year and figured this was the easiest way to pay it off.
1971 Thunderbird, roughly 72,000 miles ( it is driven sporadically so the mileage will go up a bit each week ).
429 v8, 4 bbl, fabulous sounding and running and driving car, with no leaks, drips or smoking at all. Very strong engine with lots of power.
Automatic transmission, power windows, power seats, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning. Recent L.O.F, tune up, brake adjustments and overall safety check and fluid flushes and refills..
The car starts right up and runs and drives great. It is currently at the auto upholstery shopwaiting it's turn to take care of the only 2 issues that we wanted to address before we got the tax bill surprise. The headliner and the vinyl top.
The car looks today just like the photos and you are buying it as you see it in the photos, but we personally wanted to re-install the black vinyl top that the car originally came with as well as replacing the headliner that is sagging. We had not decided what to do with the sun faded fabric on the two front seats. If the shop has time to do the headliner and top before the auction ends will will update the page with new photos and let you know.
The car has no rust that we can see and the paint is shiny, with solid rockers, door jambs, floors and trunk. As of today, everything on the car is working just fine, however as this is a 47 year old used car, it is sold as is, where is with no warranties. You are welcome to see, inspect or drive the car prior to bidding or purchase but once you pay the deposit or buy the car, it is yours.
