1948 Ford Convertible Additional Info:

Up for sale is my beloved Ford 1948which I had for about +10 years.I thought it’s time to try something newhence we will give it a try but to sell itand see if there is anyonewho want To be the new owner. The car needs nothing !Just jump in and drive away and enjoy it as is.It’s a daily driver that can go anywhere!Only need gas now and then....
HISTORY:
I bought it from Las Vegaswhere it was used for a short time as a Rental car !Then the dot com bubble came and the Rental companywent out of business - selling off one car at a time from its inventoryUntil they no longer had any more to sell and closed the doors.Before that I had see it and bid on it on EBay.It back then reside in Ohio.Beyond that I have no history on the carand if anyone recognizes it please write be and fill me in.It then had baby moon rims and wide white walls and other red interior.It seams to me it’s an older custom car (but I don’t know when it was done).
ABOUT THE CAR:
The Windshields post and the top is chopped 2-3 inchesIt got Buick 54 tear drops head lights trimsAnd there was some sort of custom grill in a square molded center pieceThe LV owner put back the original stainless trim on a custom bracket.New Tan interior was also installed by LV ownerAnd new gauges and steering wheel was installedThe dash is a shortened Mercury 49 that fit awesomeIt got a AM/FM radio that works and a CD player in the glove boxA AC / Heat system was also installed by the LV owner.It got an mustangs II front suspension with power steeringAnd new America Racing’s Though trust II rims with spinnersEngine is a dresses up 350 matched up to a 350TH.
Rear end is a Ford 8 " or 9" not sure which one.
Rear lights a some custom round lights - looks like Chevy 56 to me.The trunk lid is shaved and clean
and inside is Mercedes style carpet and under the trunk lid.
The fenders are molded and smooth fit to the body.
The top got electric push screw type lift rods
but I have detached them and now do the top manually.
I have made a Tan top cover to hide the top in the rear and
I also made a Tan "Cat-cover" that goes from the rear
and cover rear and front seats and attached in the front windshield frames
with snap-on all around the car with the top down -
This is to keep my neighbors cat out and from not jumping into the car !
A one of a kind cover.
