1968 F100 desert pre-runner For sale is a modified 68 F100 short wheel base. The body is straight and rust free, some surface rust that has been treated. The floors are original and complete with no holes and no patch work. The cab corners are in excellent condition as well as the rockers both sides. The photos of the underside show paint peeling but no holes. It has a fully welded roll bar from front of the frame through the cab and back to rear. The front fenders have been modified and are all steel they have plenty of room for a larger tire. The bed area has expanded steel mesh welded to the frame and working mesh tailgate. There is a wheel chock for a dirt bike too. The truck was in primer, I decided to rattle can it in hunter green. The engine is a fresh built 351W with a mild performance cam, long tube headers and complete exhaust out the back so it is pretty quiet. It also has an aluminum 4 barrel intake topped off with an Edelbrock 1407 750 cfm carburator. The trans is a built FMX automatic small case that works excellent with a B&M shifter. It has a reinforced Factory 9 inch with a 3:50 gear ratio, Open diff. The truck has front power disc brakes, power steering, heating and air conditioning. Has original tank not connected and a 10 gallon fuel cell. The dash has been removed and the roll bar fitted with aluminum panels to accommodate the aftermarket gauges The tires are out of date and cracking and in need of replacement. The electrical has been upgraded to a modern blade fuse box. The brake lights work as do the turn signals, horn works too. This is a running driving truck, but not registered and have a clear AZ title. It was inspected by ADOT and issued a clear title, NOT SALVAGE. It has a state control number instead of using the vin on the cab. The title says 67 but it's a 68. Not sure as to why that is. I purchased this truck in May 2017, and now I am selling it. In addition to the truck, I will include a complete Dana 60 posi rear end out of a 1969 F100 4X4. The BOM # is 603044-2 The Ford # is C8TA K. 4.10 gear ratio It is a factory Ford installed unit.
