EM2RESTORATIONS IS PROUD TO PRESENT THIS ABSOLUTELY ONE OFF F-600 4X4. THE CAB IS A 1956 F-600 BIG REAR WINDOW FORD MOUNTED ON A 1979 BRONCO CHASSIS. FITS VERY WELL AND THE WHEEL BASE LOOKS FACTORY. THE BODY CAME FROM A FARM IN YAKIM, WASHINGTON AND DOESN'T APPEAR TO HAVE EVER HAD EVEN A FENDER BENDER. ONE OF THE STRAIGHTEST 56'S I HAVE EVER SEEN. THE PAINT APPEARS TO BE 10-15 YEARS OLD BUT STILL SHOWS VERY WELL. STICK YOUR MAGNET ANYWHERE ON THIS GEM AND IT'LL STICK HARD. THESE WERE MADE WITH REAL STEEL FOLKS. THE GLASS IS IN AWESOME SHAPE AND IS TINTED GREY ON THE SIDES AND BACK. THE WINDSHIELD IS EXCELLENT AND SHADED. WE HAVE NEW MOLDINGS IN A TUPPERWARE TUB BUT WHY USE THEM WHEN THE ORIGINALS ARE JUST AS GOOD? THE DOORS AND HOOD CLOSE VERY SMOOTHLY AND THE TAILGATE IS IN VERY, VERY GOOD SHAPE. TO BE TRUTHFUL ALL THE F-600'S WERE CAB N CHASSIS SO I AM NOT SURE WHAT YEAR THE BED ACTUALLY IS. THE WHOLE PICKUP FITS LIKE A GLOVE ON THE BRONCO 4X4 CHASSIS.
THE DRIVETRAIN IS AS FOLLOWS: THE ENGINE IS A 4 BT CUMMINS THAT IS INTERCOOLED AND TURBO CHARGED. IT INCORPORATES THE HYDRAVAC STEERING AND POWER DISC BRAKES. THE 4X4 IS A NP435 4 SPEED AND AN NP 205 TRANSFER CASE FROM A STOCK 79 BRONCO. THE WHEELS ARE 15X8 AND THE TIRES ARE 35-12.50r15 BFG KM2 MUD TERRAINS AND THEY ARE BRAND NEW. THE WIRING IS ALL PROFESSIONALLY DONE AND THE CUMMINS STARTS INSTANTLY IN ANY WEATHER. THE POWER DISCS WILL STOP ON A DIME EVEN THOUGH THE TRUCK WON'T TURN ON A DIME. LOL. THE TRUCK RIDES LIKE A 79 BRONCO AND IS VERY SMOOTH ON THE ROAD. THE TILT WHEEL MAKES THE CAB COMFORTABLE FOR ALMOST ANY SIZE DRIVER. NOTE!!!! THIS CUMMINS WILL PROBABLY ONLY GO A MILLION MILES SO KEEP TRACK OF THE MILEAGE PLEASE. THE RADIATOR IS A BE COOL LARGE CORE ALUMINUM RADIATOR AS IS THE INTERCOOLER RADIATOR. IT HAS DUAL ELECTRIC FANS BUT WE HAVEN'T HAD TO TURN THEM ON BECAUSE IT STAYS AT 170-180 WITHOUT THEM ON. ALL THE GAUGES WORK, THE ELECTRICAL IS AWESOME AND THE CHASSIS IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE. THE NEW SPEEDO ISN'T WORKING SO I WILL INSTALL A NEW CABLE BEFORE THE TRUCK LEAVES THE SHOP TO IT'S NEW OWNER. THE OLD SPEEDO WILL BE INCLUDED BUT THE NEEDLE IS LAYING AT THE BOTTOM OF THE HOUSING.
THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE HOOT TO DRIVE AND IS A DEFINITE CONVERSATION STARTER ANYWHERE YOU GO. ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY HEAR THE CUMMINS. WHEN YOU GET AFTER THE THROTTLE IT DOES SPIT A LITTLE PRIUS REPELLENT BUT NOTHING LIKE THE 5.9'S THAT LAY COAL. THE STEREO IS AN ALPINE WITH TWIN AMPS, SUBWOOFER, AND IS PROFESSIONALLY DONE. IT WILL LITERALLY BLOW YOU OUT OF THE CAB IF THAT'S YOUR "THING".
