1969 Ford F-250 Camper Special Additional Info:
1969 Ford F250 Camper Special.
This truck lived all of its life in dry eastern Washington state until I purchased it from the original owner who had it from 1969 to 2017! Features:
Camper Special option (heavy duty suspension, extra cooling radiator, ammeter and oil pressure gauges, camper wiring harness, extended tail pipe, fixed style Western mirrors). Also equipped with rare factory power front disc brakes, and factory extra 25 gallon frame mounted fuel tank. 2WD.
360ci FE engine, 2 barrel Autolite carb. NP 435 heavy duty 4 speed transmission with "Granny gear". This also has the Dana 60 rear with 3.73 gears. Radio delete. 8 lug wheels. Dual battery setup.
65k original miles and it shows. Everything appears to be working (gauges, lights, etc. other than the Temp gauge) and transmission shifts smoothly.
What you need to consider: the tires are about 90% bald. I'd rebuild the carb. I do have the "FORD" letters for the hood and the "Camper Special" badges, though one is broken. Western mirrors are in great shape but I had to remove them to get the truck into my garage. The rear bumper is massive and I had to remove it to get the truck to fit into my garage. The headliner is there but is a bit rough. It had a repaint at some point in the 1980's.
Bed is rock solid, as is the rest of the truck. No bondo anywhere. Yes there are some minor dents from farm use, and the tailgate isn't the original one. Interior is all original. All glass is good with no cracks.
