1966 Ford Galaxie Additional Info:
1966 Ford Galaxie 500 Fastback PROJECT. This car starts and runs and moves under its own power. It still needs extensive work to be road worthy. It has RUST! the trunk lid needs to be replaced and both quarters need extensive work. Both doors will need some patches as well as some of the trunk pan. It is still worth saving. I just want to be honest.I purchased the car at a local auction so I have LIEN documents in my name from Oregon. I initially purchased to use the engine and trans in another project. After getting this started and running, I realizing once I pull the drivetrain the car will ultimately get parted and eventually scrapped. I have sent many cars to the crusher and don't feel this car deserves that death. It still has some life left.I believe the motor and trans have been rebuilt. Both are painted a darker blue than "ford" blue. The Vin decodes the car to a 2brl carb and this motor has an AFB 4brl. The only real option is power steering. All I did to get the car running was replaced the canister fuel filter, put a hot battery in the car and an ignition switch. After putting a couple gallons of gas in the tank and priming the carb, it fired right up. The dual exhaust will need to be replaced...its loose in areas and handing down. (yes its loud) The car has almost NO brakes....Since I am not original owner, I cannot be certain of the real miles and of course the car is sold as is.
Thanks for looking...If you have any questions please let me know. I will do my best to answer them. SAVE THIS CAR!
