1939 Ford 5 Window Coupe Additional Info:

Look closely and you'll find a lot to love in this 1939 Ford coupe. Yes, it's a 100% steel coupe for a bargain price, and you aren't sacrificing anything to own it at that number. Beautiful paint? Got it. Plenty of reliable horsepower? Yep. All the toys and upgrades? Check. This gorgeous Ford won't last long, so make your move or regret it later.Ford's tradition of using the Deluxe version of each year's model as the next year's Standard version gives us this pretty 1939 Ford coupe, which looks a lot more like a '38 than a '39. No matter, because it remains one of Ford's best designs, with a cool art-deco look that starts with the sleek grille and teardrop headlights and ends with beautiful teardrop taillights. Of course, everything in-between has been reworked to give it a beautiful two-tone look and lots of custom touches. The bumpers, door handles, and most of the bright trim has been shaved, and what appears to be stainless along the belt line is actually expert airbrush work that looks spectacular. The two-tone paint is at once subtle and striking, and the colors are such that it will never go out of style. The rear fenders have been molded into the body for a seamless look and the trunk lid is decorated with some ornate pinstripe work that finishes it off beautifully. It sits right, looks sleek, and there's expert workmanship everywhere you look, and with just 5423 miles since it was built, everything remains quite fresh. With this Ford, you also get a spectacular custom-stitched interior with leather bucket sets, lizard skin inserts, and all the creature comforts. The two-tone upholstery matches the bodywork and gives this coupe a show car look, and there's nothing inside that hasn't been custom built just for this car. Check out the trick center console with built-in A/C vents, the artful insert with the white-faced Dolphin gauges, and the back-up camera screen in the middle. And if you're a taller person who has been frustrated trying to fit in other rods, this one was built just for you, with plenty of stretch out room that gives it a spacious, airy feeling. A tilt column certainly helps, as does the lack of a back seat, which is filled with a custom enclosure for the twin subwoofers for the AM/FM/CD stereo system. There's also a full-sized trunk that's finished to match, with cool access panels that are part of the design.A reliable Chevy 350 cubic inch V8 provides plenty of power to make it fun, but not at the cost of reliability. Drive it across the country, this one will make it a pleasure. A 4-barrel carburetor and dual exhaust help add power, and a few dress-up parts on the engine make it worthwhile to open the hood at shows. A big radiator helps with cooling duties and service access is very good. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission powers a 10-bolt rear end with highway gears inside, and the chassis, while not detailed, is pure function with a Mustang II front suspension, disc brakes, rack-and-pinion steering, and air shocks out back. Twin glasspack-style mufflers offer a traditional hot rod sound and there's a big gas tank out back, making this car ideal for long-distance cruising. The stance is raked just enough to make it look like a hot rod without killing ride quality and traditional chrome Torque Thrusts and staggered rubber fill the fenders perfectly.A beautifully built rod with all the goodies at a shockingly reasonable price. Don't hesitate on this one; we can spot the ones that won't last long, and this is definitely one of them. Call today!
