This gt 40 was one of about 8 produced in mid 2000s I have owned 4 genuine original gt,s over a 35 year period .. As wonderful as they are they are terrible around town. If we're crazy enough ($$$) to drive one. This is the exact body on Shelby gt40 104 the blue / white stripe car ( my first genuine I'm in most big gt books) body molds were built before that car was restored. This car is unbelievable to driv, , the custom exhaust makes it the most fantastic sounding car a couple mods on front give it 2004 gt look ( better than my lancia stratos) or any of the other lil red cars I have owned. Chassis modifications were suggested by Len Bailey himself It is built like a tank. A built in crash-impact -roll structure is very reassuring..heavy all steel windshield frame. Drive ability is better than any other sports car I have EVER driven. Having worked for Ferarri in mid 80s I have driven them all.. Nice but garage ornaments. Drives and rides better than my Miura. The Miura lovers are removable and correct a plx window installed but louveres are so well made .. And they work fabulous great vision no heat build up.And just as pretty . Please talk to me before bidding and I will be glad to give u full description of the cars build specific s.. Chassis was constructed in unibody / tube.with 80 ft of tube installed ..
