1968 Ford Mustang Additional Info:
This Is A 1968 Ford Mustang Hardtop Coupe w/Automatic 200 6-cylinder Engine & C-4 Transmission. I Bought This Car About 10 Years Ago From A Couple That Never Drove It. This Car Is Old So Expect Some Age Appropriate Imperfections But The Body, Motor, Transmission, And Pretty Much Everything Else On This Car Are In Good Condition Considering It's Age. This Car Drives, Runs, and Sounds Great! I Have Bought Various Brand New Parts For This Car Since I Have Owned It And Installed Them..Radiator, New Tires, Starter, Alternator, Gas Tank, Fuel Filter, etc..The Transmission Seals And Fluids Are Fresh. Very Little Surface Rust Only, There Is A Crack In The Front Windshield But This Car Is Very Drive-able. However, A Good Paint Job, A Disk Brake Conversion, And Carburetor Rebuild Would Make It Even Better..This Car Sat For Many Years Before I Purchased It But It Started Instantly After Warming Up I Drove It Home..Note: I Have Installed Three Brand New Tires And Valve Stems And Only Driven About 2 Miles Since Then..If You Want To Purchase One More Matching Tire To Complete The Set The Item Number To Purchase The Exact Tire From eBay Is 263208292763 ( Only $60.00). The Mileage on the Dashboard Of This Vehicle Is Incorrect Because It Says 293175 But The Couple That Sold Me This Car Said It Was More Like 20,000 Since They Had The Engine Rebuilt Before Basically Letting The Car Sit In The Garage For Years..I Believe Them Because The Motor Still Sounds And Runs Perfect..The Ignition Key, Trunk Key, And Title Will Be Included With This Purchase..This Car Is Easy To Start And Will Drive..I Will Give Specific Instructions On How To Start This Baby Quickly But I Am Sure You Won't Need Them If You Are Familiar With Starting Old Cars With Manual-Choke Carburetor..Instructions: Tap The Accelerator A Few Times Before Turning The Key To Crank It..The First Crank May Not Catch But The Second Time Is A Charm Just Leave Your Foot On The Accelerator For A Couple of Minutes To Let It Warm Up..When You Remove Your Foot From The Accelerator It May Idle Down A Little And Turn Off But Once You Turn The Key Again Without Touching The Accelerator It Will Stay Cranked For Good..After This Process You Will Be Able To Start This Car Instantly Without Touching The Accelerator..The Original Breather Element Carburetor Cover Is In The Trunk But You Will Need A Screw For It..I Have Sparingly Driven This Car Because I Wanted To Fully Restore It To The Standards And Safety Of A Modern Car, But I Really Don't Have The Time To Give It The Restoration That It Deserves. I Love This Car Very Much And Hate To See It Go, But I Don't Want To Let A Good Car Rot Away...I Would Much Rather Sell It To A Loving Owner That Is More Capable Of Keeping This Dream Alive. My Recommendations: Before Driving This Car Every Single Day It Would Be A Good Idea To Replace The Original Drum Brakes With Disk Brakes And Get The Carburetor Rebuilt, However When Its Yours You May Drive It As Often As You Wish..Please Feel Free To Message Me With Any And All Questions Or Concerns And I Will Be More Than Happy To Help In Any Way That I Can! Thanks For Looking! Bid With Confidence "eBay" !
