1966 Ford Mustang Ultra Rare Deluxe! Additional Info:

For your consideration: a 1966 Ford Mustang with an unbelievably rare combination of options. This is about as close as you can come to an original "Survivor" like you would see on Barrett Jackson Auctions. This rare example has the 2-bbl 289, which by itself would be unremarkable, but then it also has:
Factory Air Conditioning, including the original R-12 old school compressor with the original aluminum service cap.Power Steering, which works as flawlessly as when it was new.Disc Brakes - Now this is special! - Most optional disc brake cars were manual disc, this is factory POWER disc brakes, which is supremely rare!It also has the Deluxe Pony Interior, with the running horses stamped into the upholstery of the seats, and the original running-horse embossed floor mats, original front and back! The Deluxe Interior, which included door courtesy and rear console lights, simulated wood-grain ralleye-style steering wheel, and a floor shifter console. The paint was redone circa 1990, and although it has a few issues (what repainted vehicle wouldn't after almost 30 years?) is still very good. Also, there is absolutelyNO RUST! This car spent most of its life in Arizona, then moved into the high desert of North East Oregon, where it's almost as dry, but lived in a garage just about the whole time. The end result is that there is absolutely NO rust in the floor or trunk pan as far as my experienced eye can see. The trunk has the original vinyl mat, including the spare tire cover which blankets what appears to be the FACTORY ORIGINAL SPARE TIRE!.There are a few flaws in the interior, which is in remarkablecondition for being 51 years old, the greatest of which is that the headliner needs replaced. For an additional $500 I will replace the headliner for you, but otherwise a replacement headliner and all new roof insulation mat are included in the sale price, ready to be installed. The original radio was replaced with a modern replacement that did not require any dash modifications, but I have TWO original AM radios that go with the car so that it can be returned to absolutelyoriginal condition, along with numerous other original spares.
Ultimately, this is a once in a lifetime find. I'm not a Ford guy, but when I found this I could not resist the opportunity. I'm only asking for enough profit to cover medical expenses for my 9-year-old daughter. Thank you and good luck!

Addendum: I've had questions about the engine and transmission, but for some reason my responses weren't getting out, so here it is... The engine is original, and has never been out of the car. (It still has many factory original hose clamps!) I think the only thing changed has been radiator and heater hoses, and of course spark plug wires and battery... It runs well and seems strong enough and doesn't smoke. The transmission runs well, shifts firmly, and seems fine. I drove it home when I bought it, and subsequently drove it to church a couple times. (the kids loved riding in the "old car") There are pictures of the engine bay already posted, but if there's something anyone would like to see in particular, just let me know.
