1960 Ford Sunliner Convertible Additional Info:
this is a great classic car, a one of a kind single year body style. The 1960 Ford was the widest production car built in its time. We tried to buy this car for 20 years while it sat in a garage, finally succeeded and set about returning it to the road. As far as we know we are the fourth owner of the car. The odometer showed just over 64K miles when we bought it. We rebuilt the engine and had all new interior custom installed using the original pattern and colors for pattern. The top was also new as was the trunk liner and carpet when we rebuilt. There is a custom boot for the top that matches the interior red. The engine is a 352 with factory cast headers, original when the car left the assembly line. The transmission is 3 speed standard column shift with working overdrive. This car routinely gets 22 to 26 mpg on the highway. As mentioned, there is a small silver dollar sized rust spot in front of the right rear wheel well. There is also a dent in the top of the left front fender where a 2x4 fell on the car while it was stored before we bought it. It damaged the trim and we have the replacement stainless trim piece for the car. The paint is original to the car, has lots of wear especially on the hood and trunk deck, but the sides have good patina. What we know is wrong with this car: the rear end seal leaks and needs to be replaced; the OD cable is broken(OD still works) and the emergency brake release cable is broken. It has 14' tires and wheels and 3 bar aftermarket hubcaps that will stay with the car. there are stainless fender skirts on the rear wheel wells. We have nearly 100% of the receipts from the work we did on the car. This is a ready to drive car, we have taken it to car shows across the state and on vacation trips out of state. The title is clear and tag is up to date and current license and tag in Oklahoma,. The car is insured through Hagerty Classic Car Insurance.
