1961 Ford F-100 Additional Info:
1961 F-100 PICKUP TRUCK WITH STRONG RUNNING 292 V-8 AND 3 SPEED ON THE TREE. I'M THE 3RD OWNER OF THIS NEAT OLD TRUCK. IT HAS A CLEAR TITLE AND AS YOU CAN SEE, IT IS REGISTERED UNTIL JUNE. IT'S IN DAILY DRIVER CONDITION WITH NEWER RADIAL TIRES, GOOD BRAKES AND EVERYTHING WORKS ON IT INCLUDING THE GAS GAUGE, TEMPERATURE GAUGE, AM RADIO AND HEATER. SIGNALS AND ALL EXTERIOR LIGHTS WORK AS THEY SHOULD.THE TRUCK IS RUST FREE AND SOLID WITH THE ORIGINAL FORD SCRIPT GLASS STILL IN IT. ABSOLUTELY NO CANCEROUS RUST REQUIRING ATTENTION IN THE FLOORS, ROCKERS, CAB OR ANYWHERE AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PHOTOS.
THIS WAS THE FIRST YEAR OF THIS BODY STYLE. IT HAS BEEN WELL MAINTAINED OVER THE YEARS AND NOT ABUSED, JUST LOOK AT THE BED AND BODY. I USE NOTHING BUT AMSOIL IN IT FROM FRONT TO BACK AND EVERYTHING IS CURRENT ON SERVICE. HARD TO FIND ANOTHER '61 IN THIS ORIGINAL UNMOLESTED SHAPE UNLESS YOU GO TO BARRETT JACKSON.
TRUCK EXTERIOR WAS REPAINTED ABOUT 7 YEARS AGO THE ORIGINAL FORD WIMBLEDON WHITE COLOR WITH RED ACCENTS AND THE BUMPERS ARE CUMULUS GRAY. I DID NOT WASH, BUFF OR WAX THE TRUCK FOR PHOTOS, JUST PULLED IT OUT OF THE GARAGE.
I INSTALLED A MOTORCRAFT 2100 500 CFM CARBURETOR, PATRIOT HEADERS AND NEW EXHAUST WITHIN THE PAST YEAR. HAS PERTRONIX ELECTRONIC IGNITION CONVERSION IN ORIGINAL DISTRIBUTOR. I STILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL CROSSOVER EXHAUST PIPE AND MANIFOLDS IF INTERESTED. THE 292 RUNS GREAT AND THE CHOKE WORKS AS IT SHOULD FIRING RIGHT UP EACH TIME AND KICKING DOWN. PLENTY OF OIL PRESSURE TO THE TOP END AND SOUNDS HEALTHY. YOU'LL GET A PUFF OF SMOKE WHEN YOU FIRST COLD START IT THEN IT CLEARS RIGHT UP AND IT DOES NOT USE ANY OIL OR RUN HOT. THE TRUCK ZIPS DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT 70 MPH AND IT FEELS GREAT. RUNS COOL IN THE SUMMER IDLING OR ON THE ROAD UNDER LOAD.
YOU CAN DRIVE THIS TRUCK HOME.
