1959 Ford F100 Step Side Pickup
Build Inspired by the 1963 F100 XL Drag Truck
Built 460 Motor, out of a 74 Lincoln standard bore, stock pistons, Mutha Thumpr Comp Cam K-Kit, timing chain, lifters, springs and retainers, New Comp Cam High Energy Full Roller Rocker arms, Crane cams stud and guide plate conversion kit installed, new Edelbrock Torker intake, HEI ignition, New Holley 850 DP w/mechanical secondaries, New ACCELL wires, plugs, Homebuilt Fenderwell Headers, 2 ½” Exhaust already done Summit/Flowmaster Super 10 Copies dump right in back of cab...can be uncapped. Guess on horsepower compared to similar builds around 350-400. Aluminum heads would really wake it up.
New 20 Gallon Fuel cell (still needs to be mounted), 17 foot battery cable to place battery in bed, no battery, Sunpro triple gauges, Sunpro 5” tach in box, 4 point roll bar not fitted or cut but will go with truck, Speedway low back seats painted red, brand new brake cylinders, shoes, brake hoses, and hardware for front and back (still needs to be installed), brake lines and new master cylinder. New Solenoid, New aluminum Radiator, fan, waterpump, starter, summit one wire alternator, fuel pump. New fuel gauge in box. New trans chrome dipstick new speedway lap seat belts, new low beam headlights in box, side mirror in box, key Cylinder lock in box, stock rear mirror not installed, I do have headlight bezels need to be installed, painted red door panels need to be installed.
Built C6 Transmission (out of same 74 Lincoln), New B@M deep oil pan, Transgo reprogramming shift kit installed (manual shifts) I do have parts to change back to full automatic, Hurst Promatic Shifter, Jegs shifter pedestal
9” Rear End Ford 3:70 Gears and Mini Spool 28 Spline, Old School Bolt on Lakewood Ladder bars, Competition Engineering Ladder bar crossmember (Fitted but still needs to be welded).
Front and rear suspension has all been redone, new bushings, bolts, shackles, U bolts, plates…. all from LMC…has 3” aluminum blocks installed up front…4 new shocks all around. Kingpins have not been replaced (seem tight) but may want to in the future.
Body has just been painted (Wimbledon White), not an expensive paint job but suits a street/strip truck, vinyl decals in the style of the f100xl drag truck, New windshield just installed, rear glass is on its way and will be installed in a few days. No glass on doors. Interior is unpainted, bed has rhino truck bed coating. Model A tail lights, New 15x5 (2) and 15x8 (2) Wheel Vintique steel Wheels in boxes. Tires the truck currently has are nothing special and were purchased just to get the truck rolling.
Truck still needs to be finished. The motor and trans have both been previously run in a 71 Mustang for approximately 50 miles at most…it is not currently running at this time because I recently installed the intake, carb, and roller rockers (which still need to be adjusted and set). To finish the truck you would need to finish what I mentioned in the listing, put fluids and such (both engine and trans are dry)... and purchase a 46 ½” to 47” driveshaft.
All the “hard work” done. Finish and enjoy or finish and flip it. I hate to see it go but I have a third car that will be finished with paint coming home soon and I only have room for 2 so this one has to find a new home.
