I bought this car from the estate sale of the original owner in Florida. It's always been garaged and very well maintained and cared for. There was one repaint in the late nineties and the car is very clean and solid with no rust to be found anywhere! It always starts right up and runs very good. I've driven it on several highway trips and it's a really good cruising car. You couldn't ask for a better Highway cruiser than this Mach1 with the 2.75 rear end gear. The way this car is setup it cruises all day long at 75 MPH at about 1,700 RPM and has great acceleration at Highway speeds. I haven't tried it but it feels like it would easily hit 140 MPH with little effort. It's a nice handling car and steers true and straight with no vibration or swaying. I did add an aluminum four barrel intake, four barrel carb and set of dual exhaust for a little added performance and it does have noticeably more power than it did. I also upgraded the A/C compressor to a more modern R34 type. All of the original equipment that came off will be included with the car so it could be easily returned back to all stock original condition if you so desired. This is a nice, clean, solid, good driving Classic Mach1 with a lot of desirable factory options. It came very well equipped with factory A/C, Rear Folding Seat, In-Dash Tach, Center Console, Disc Brakes,Power Steering, Slotted Alloy Mag Wheels, Deluxe Interior, Front & Rear Spoilers, Am/FM Stereo and FMX Select Shift A/T. It also has a set of rear window lovers and complete trunk mat including spare tire cover and jack storage bag. These 71 - 73 Mach1 Mustangs are among the best valued collector classic cars on today's market. I'm not alone in thinking they are way under valued and it won't be much longer before these prices start climbing even at a higher rate than they previously have been. With prices for the 67 - 70 Mach1 running so high over the past five years or more these 71, 72 & 73 Mach1's have been getting a lot more attention and the market has been reflecting that. Now is the time to buy one before the prices on these start getting way higher. I can guarantee one thing for sure, they aren't going down! As I'm sitting here typing this I'm watching a live Mecum Classic Car auction on TV from Portland and what comes up on the block? A 1971 Mach1 in Grabber Blue identical to the one I just sold on eBay sixty days ago and I couldn't believe what it just sold for, $90,000!!! I just sold the same car on eBay for $18,300 two months ago. I know these cars are going up in value but not that much. I had to rewind and watch it again and there was nothing special about it like the first one ever made or something and it wasn't previously owned by Carroll Shelby or anything like that but it did sell for $90,000. I just had to put that in here and by no way trying to claim these Mach1's are worth that kind of money because they aren't. They are however one of the best value classic cars you will find if you want to buy a classic car for an investment you can't go wrong with a nice, clean numbers matching 71 - 73 Mach1 as long as it is mechanically sound and no rust! I collect them and currently have five of them for that reason. I'm selling this one because I have another 73 H-Code identical to it except for the interior color. A friend told me about this car coming up for sale in an estate sale in Florida so I went down and bought it. I only buy nice numbers matching Mustangs and this car is very nice. I'm offering it at a very fair price well below its actual value and it comes with a clean, clear title. I sent photos and copy of the Marti Report to Hagerty Classic Car Insurance when I bought it and wanted to add it to my policy. I insure all of my Classics with them. They looked at the report and photographs and said they would insure it for $25,000 guaranteed replacement value. Again I'm not saying this is the value but I'm also not asking near that for it. I do think the insured value is fair and not exaggerated and I also think I could eventually sell it for close to that amount if I took my time doing it. This car doesn't really need anything to be a daily driver and weekend show car. It could use new shocks and a good detail but it doesn't need anything. I wouldn't hesitate taking it on a road trip tomorrow. All that being said, I still recommend any interested buyers come look at it and inspect it for yourself. If you can't come yourself there are third party inspectors that will perform a thorough inspection on your behalf usually within 24 hours. Since this is an auction all inspections must be done prior to the auction ending. This is an as-is sale with no warranty no returns so its up to the buyer to ensure the fitness of the vehicle. Shipping is the Buyer's responsibility and I will assist with that in any way I can. If you choose to fly in and drive it home I will meet at the airport with the car and title but cannot provide a license tag. If you want to schedule an appointment to see it give me a call at 843-321-2802. I also have a lot of additional photos so if there is anything specific you want a photo of just let me know. All of the photos I included are recent, within the past ten days. I also included a link to a couple of videos I took of the car running and one when I was driving back from FL.
