1969 Ford Mustang Additional Info:
Hey everyone.
With Fall season around corner which mean its perfect time for cruise season! What's better car to drive around than a Mach 1. Well ... here's your chance to own one! Time has arrived for me to put my baby up for sale ... recently married, getting ready to move out of state and getting ready to start our own family is the reason this baby is up for sale. Otherwise it wouldn't be here.
This obvious will be long post than others you might find/read but I like to cover everything and being upfront so you know what you get. What you read/see is what you will get (nothing hidden or so). If you have questions then PLEASE feel free to ask away.
So let's start with history then go from there ...
This Mach 1 was ordered new by a GA State Trooper from Henderson Motor Co out of Chesnee SC. He ordered it on 3/24/69 and got the car on 5/23/69. It remain with him for next 45 years and then sold to guy in New England with really nice Mopar collection. Thatwhen I came in.
GARAGE KEPT all its life & only 3 owners with all matching # (Original metal, chassis, drivetrain, interior and so forth). Undercarriage never been touched/played with.
Now let's get onto numbers ...
9T02M190719
9 - 1969
T - Built at Metuchen
02 - Mustang 2 Door SportsRoof
M - 351 4V V-8 Engine
190719 - Serial Number
63C - Mustang Mach 1 2 Door SportsRoof
C5 - Black Jade Paint with black out hood treatment
3A - Black Knit Vinyl Mach 1 Hi Back Bucket Seats
15D - Scheduled for build April 15 1969
22 - Charlotte DSO
9 - 3.25 Conventional Rear Axle
X - FMX Select Shift Automatic Transmission
Everything is 100% original and matching numbers to this car other than obvious paint job. It have one time repaint and guy decide to go with different color which was Candy Apple Red as seen in picture.
It came with all these extras that not always come with all other Mach 1 such as following:
- Power Steering- AM Radio- Tinted Glass Complete
- Blacked Out Hood w/ Scoop
- Deep Chin Spoiler
- Rear Window Slats
- Matching Wing On Rear Deck
- BONUS - Built In & Working Directional Lights on the Scoop ( hard to find )
Body: All original from factory other than paint job. First and foremost … this is NOT SEMA or Trailer Queen car so therefore its not perfect. So with that being said … keep in mind its all original body metal - there's few bubbles here and there. I want to say less than 6 or 7 if I count right. However they all are VERY SMALL and hard to notice from 5 foot but being upfront and I'm more than happy to point them out. VERY EASY FIX ( we haven't find time ).
Paint: Not $15k job but show nice. There's few rock chips/scratches here and there from driving. This is EASY what I consider 5 footer until you look really close up. Paint is coming up close to being 20 years old now.
Interior: Is in VERY nice shape. High back buckets. Floor console. Like new dash pad. New carpeting & deep pile floor mats with running horse and so forth. Dash has been upgraded to new digital readout gauges by Dakota giving it nice modern touch up. HOWEVER - I still have original gauge panel that come with car!
Drivetrain: All matching numbers 351 V8 w/ FMX. Both full professionally rebuilt. Power Steering. Power Disc Brakes. 3.25 Gears w/ Trac-lok limited slip. Also come with Magnum 500 & 235/60/15 BFG T/A Radials. Original 81,600 miles on body and drivetrain rebuilt job was done at 75k miles. Title shows 81,600 miles as well asActual miles.
So that's all I can think of … you will be hard pressed to find all original body and matching numbers these days. Its ready for night out, cruise, shows or whatnot. This Mustang is easy what I call 5 footer all day long until you get up close then there's imperfections here and there. BUT why own perfect car and being a worry worm when you can take this girl out and have blast!!!
This startsup, rumbling, driving, stop and cruise like it was in 1969… not a new car or so. Nothing been upgraded or touch/messed with - real deal.
Everything pretty much work as right of now other than I'm having hard time opening trunk (I will TRY to find time to get it to open ... the mechanic's screw came off so its locked right now)
I HAVE more pictures & I have few video of running, walking around and driving on highways/local streets that I will be more than HAPPY to send thru TEXT.
Either BUY this bad girl to have FUN as is it. Or buy and do some work over time to be a $60K + Mach 1 easy. VALUE IS CLIMBING and 50TH ANNIVERSARY IS COMING UP!!!
OH YEAH - got clear & clean title in my name. Registered. Insured. Driven.
Cheers.
P.S. Few extra stuff ... cash deal in person (less headache) No joy rides - I will take you for ride around block but that's far as it goes until its paid for.
YOU are more than WELCOME to come and check it out during auction. IF you have questions, want to see more pictures or so - ASK AWAY.
I would prefer to outright selling this car but will look into trade + CASH. I will also take in person offer as long its cash however if the reserve price is met then will let auction run its course.
As for price wise… I can say this is not a $50k or more car. I've set the reserve price at reasonable price and its below Nada Guides average considering.
