1973 Ford Maverick Grabber Additional Info:
I've had this car for about 5 years. I drive it very infrequently as it is not a daily drive by any means. But it runs...fast.
It's in good shape considering its over 40 years old.
Its a true 1973 Ford Maverick Grabber in two tone Red and Black, with all Black interior with bench seats front and back.
The upholstery is in awesome shape, no tears or cracks. The front dash and door panels are without cracks as well. The roof fabric is good, attached, not sagging. The seat wheels are secure and not rusted through.
The trunk is no longer lined.
The exterior is rust free and the car was treated with Ziebart rust prevention. There is a dent in the front passenger side fender next to the headlight.
Underneath, the previous owners added some ladders in the rear.
The engine is the V8 302, modified with a better carburetor, racing cam, valves and valve covers and ignition system. These were added to increase the Horsepower of the 70's era power plant.
The engine cavity does have some rust through to the wheel wells, but the shock towers are solid.
Since I've owned it I've added:
- New Ignition Switch
- Solenoid
- Voltage Regulator
- Starter
- Flywheel
- Transmission Fluid Pan Gasket
- New rear wheel tires
Hoping to sell it to someone who can either restore it the rest of the way and enjoy it.
Buyer is responsible for arranging pick-up and all the charges that entails. I'll work with whomever you choose.
