For the early Thunderbird lovers, take a look at this 1958 T-bird, white with red and white interior. The specs that are listed on the original bill of sale are:
Cruise-O-Matic Transmission, Fresh Air Heater, Hi- Fi Radio, PA wipers, 70 amp battery, Wheel Covers, Power Windows, F7 R, Power Driver seat, Power Brakes, Power Steering. Serial # H8YH121711
Interceptor T Bird Special is the original engine and the mileage on the car is 45,940. The interior is as shown in the pics. The back seat is in very good condition. The front passenger seat has a slight separation tear that can be sewn at the seam. I have been told that the interior and portions of the exterior chrome can be brushed to bring back shine. The motor on the driver’s seat seems to be stuck, but was told that a replacement motor is around $50. There is a hairline crack in the passenger side window. The original owner apparently was a smoker and the side panel on the driver's side is burned. Since replacing it was on my list for the car, I found that side panels for Tbirds are available and reasonable in price. One of the best things about this car it that you can drive it as it is which is whatwe did!
The car runs well and has that duel exhaust sound that is sweet. I had planned to make it shine like a penny, but my husband’s health issues prevented that from happening. It has been garaged for the winter and driven last summer. Last oil change and complete tune up was done this past summer. I am not a dealer…..just someone who likes old T-Birds. Please ask any questions and Iwill do my best to give you the correct answer. Take a look at the pics since I tried to include every angle to help a bidder make a decision.
The car is located in New York and would have to be picked up. The car is being sold as is. However, I can assure that it starts and runs!
The winning bidder is required to pay a non-refundabledeposit of $ 350 through Pay Pal within 2 days of winning. The balance must be received 2 days prior to pick-up. The entire transaction will be completed in 7 days unless otherwise agreed upon between the buyer and seller.
