Cool truck!!!
This truck was purchased with my brother in law who was going to fix it up for resell. He has found a job so now the truck is being sold. I paid $2500 for it with the interior very rough. We purchased over $2500. worth of parts, some of which are still in the boxes and bags they came in. My brother did a great job on the interior but found his new job before finishing the truck. He put in new floorboard, carpet and like I said did a great job on the interior. He gave it a tune up, new alternator and new charging stuff. He did a few other things to the engine but other than that he has not done any other work.
I have driven this truck quite a few times over the last few of weeks. There are no oil or fluid leaks on my driveway where it is parked. It does not smoke and I can tell you the engine seems to run very very strong. The transmission shifts very good although I think it may need to be adjusted.
The speedometer does not register the correct speed but there is a new cable in the parts box that comes with the truck. Odometer reads 78000 miles but I have no clue as to the actual miles on this truck.
The heater works great and will blow you out.
Although there is some sort of AC compressor on the truck it has been disconnected from the engine and I don't know what the status might be.The gas gauge at full shows 3/4 of a tank. It was fine before he redid the interior so my guess is maybe a loose wire or something but not sure. The parking break light stays on, I don't know why.
The bed flooring in the truck is wood, looks like pine to me. The rear of the truck is metal and the fenders are fiberglass. I have no idea why.
There is an original manual along with the big repair manual that you get from the auto parts store.
