1967 Ford Mustang Fastback
BODY:
THIS 67 C CODE MUSTANG FASTBACK WAS PURCHASED OUT OF ARIZONA. THE RESTORATION STARTED WITH THE ORIGINAL RUST FREE BODY. ORIGINAL 68 REAR QUARTERS WERE INSTALLED AS ONE QUARTER WAS DENTED. THE BODY WAS PUT ON A ROTISSERIE AND MEDIA BLASTED. ALL THE GAPS AND PANEL ALIGNMENT ARE EXCELLENT. A RIGHT SIDE TORQUE BOX ALONG WITH SUBFRAME CONNECTORS WERE WELDED INTO PLACE. THE SHOCK TOWERS ALSO HAD PROPER REINFORCMENTS WELDED IN TO SUPPORT EXTRA POWER, ORE BEEFY THAN THE FACTORY SUPPORTS FOUND ON BIG BLOCK CARS. THE CAR WAS PAINTED 67 MOSS GREEN, HE PAINT IS OUTSTANDING, BOTH DOORS OPEN / CLOSE WONDERFULLY, SING VERY LITTLE EFFORT. THE FRONT VALANCE IS A SHELBY STYLE, HE REAR VALANCE HAS HAD THE BACK UP LIGHTS ELIMINATED AND THE LED TAIL LIGHTS ARE HIGHLIGHTED W THE 67 OPTIONAL PANEL THE FENDERS ARE ROLLED,LIKE THE SHELBYS. AN OEM HOOD WAS ADDED, 681/2 SCOOP ALONG WITH THE MATCHING FLAT BLACK STRIPE THAT CARRIES FROM THE COWL TO THE VALANCE. THE TRUNK IS DETAILED, LL PAINTED AS IS THE INSIDE OF THE CAR.
INTERIOR:
THE INTERIOR IS ALL NEW, NCLUDING AN AUTOMETER GUAGE CLUSTER, ELUXE INTERIOR, 9 MACH 1 SEATS W/ MATCHING REAR UPPOLSTERY. A HIGH QUALITY RUG WAS INSTALLED AFTER THE CAR WAS LOADED W/ DYNOMAT. COMPLETE CORRECT SEATS BELTS WERE ALSO USED. THERE IS A FOUR POINT ROLL BAR WELDED IN, HAT FITS BEAUTIFULLY. THE CAR HAS CUSTOM POWERWINDOWS, SING THE STOCK WINDOW CRANKS CONNECTED TO THE SWITCHES. THE HEADLINER WAS ADDED BEFORE THE GLASS WENT IN, EW WINSDHIELD AND THE REST OF THE ORIG GLASS IS EXCELLENT. COMPLETE NEW STOCK WIRING HARNESSES. NARDI STEERING WHEEL.
DRIVE TRAIN:
THE ENGINE IS A 351W STROKED TO 392 W/ ALUMINUM HEADS, ATER PUMP AND INTAKE WITH A HOLLEY 650. POLISHED CERAMIC HEADERS, TOCK DISTRUBUTOR W/ PETRONIX IGNITION. THE ENGINE IS VERY RESPONSIVE, ITH PLENTY OF POWER. NEW TREMEC TKO 550 W/ HURST SHIFTER FOLLOWED BY A NEW CURRIE REAR W/ 370S' COBRA AUTOMOTIVE FRONT BRAKE KIT W/ 12" ROTORS AND OVERSIZED STOCK APPEARING FOUR PISTON CALIPERS, IG DRUM BRAKES IN REAR. S T FRONT SUSPENSION, ONI SHOCKS, LSO STAINLESS FUEL & BRAKE LINES, FLAMING RIVER STEERING BOX. BRAND NEW 15" TORQUE THRUST WHEELS W/ 235/60/15 FIRESTONE FIREHAWKS. THE ONLY PARTS THAT ARE NOT NEW OR REBUILT ARE THE IGNTION SWITCH, EADLIGHT SW, ND THE BLOWER MOTOR. THEY ALL WORK GREAT. THE WIPER MOTOR IS NOS. THE CLUTCH IS A CENTERFORCE, LUMINUM RADIATOR.
NOTES:
THE THEME OF THE CAR ( ASIDE FROM THE EDELBROCK WATER PUMP AND RADIATOR ) IS TO HAVE IT APPEAR THAT THE MODIFICATIONS WERE DONE IN THE LATE 60S' / EALY 70S'. THE CAR HAS THE CORRECT SOLENOID AND VOLTAGE REGULATOR, LONG WITH CORRECT STYLE HOSE CLAMPS ETC. THE CAR HAS 585 MI, T DRIVES VERY NICELY. IT'S QUIET INSIDE AND FEELS VERY TIGHT AND SOLID. IT RUNS RIGHT AT 180 DEG AND THE HEAT WORKS GREAT. ALL NEW CORRECT HARDWARE WAS USED IN ASSEMBLY
