Just out of long term ownership and storage, here we have a 1959 Ford Fairlane 500 Retractable Hardtop Convertible! After a long nap of over 20 years, this car is ready for the next stage of its life! The car had the carburator rebuilt, gas tank drained, new battery and other misc tune up type of things and it now starts and runs nicely. And YES, the top works as well! (see video above) This car is VERY solid underneath and has 68,000 original miles. It has had only one repaint years ago in its original color from what we can tell. There are a few chips and nicks here and there (see pictures), but as you can see overall the car still looks good! We have driven the car on local roads around here and all seems to work ok, however before any long trips you should probably inspect the brakes and tires just due to age. Other flaws noticed is that the drivers window is cracked, and you can hear an exhaust leak on the drives side.
