1990 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat Extended Cab Pickup 2-Door Additional Info:

1990 Ford F150 XLT Lariat - No Winters. Well-Maintained.
Truck is in nice condition (interior, exterior & underneath) andhas never been driven in the winter.Babied it for about 6-7 years now-still runs like a champ and can haul just about anything.
I'll be moving, so I have to sell. Already have a car.
I was originally going to get the truck up to showroom quality
and do the car/truck show thing, but I ended up using that time
to renovate my condo before the move.
P.S. Last picture is from the Superman, Man of Steel movie...
where the same style of truck was used. I did receive an inquiry
a few years ago to have my truck in an advertisement about Ford trucks,
but unfortunately, I was in Florida at the time. I say this because it does
have the potential to be used for that type of thing also...
to make extra cash on the side and/or have more bragging rights.

********************************************************************************************************TRUCK HISTORY & OTHER DETAILS:
Truck has been stored during the winter seasons.
Built in Kansas, 1st "owner" (car dealer, I believe) lived in Arizona
2nd owner lived in Sheboygan, WI and owned the truck for the majority of its life.
2nd owner is a highly skilled engineer who has retired from the workforce.
He is incredibly smart, organized and took meticulously good care of the truck.
He only used it in the summers to haul a fifth-wheel with the family and stored it
in a ventilated garage during the winters.
2nd owner upgraded to a new truck to haul a much bigger fifth-wheel.
I lucked out and found him selling it through Craigslist, so I drove up there and quickly bought it.
I've had it for...about 6-7 years now? Roughly around that anyhow. Kept with the tradition
and stored it during the winters. Mostly drove it to help move things here and there,
or just for some casual drives to keep it/and me happy.
Service while I had it was mostly taken care of by Senior Service Mechanics.
Only major-ish type of service I had to do on it was having new valve cover gaskets put on.
Everything else has been taken care of by the previous owner. I did eventually have new Shocks
and Brakesinstalled- and of course kept up with routine oil changes and regular maintenance.
2nd owner gave me all of the official Ford Mechanic manuals for the truck.
See Pictures: brown books on the back seat. I'm not that inclined to do service work myself,
but those manuals are quite extensive if that's something you're into. They come with the truck.
I will include the original blue toolbox for the bed of the truck. I never used it. Quite heavy duty.
Front tires should be replaced. I picked up two from the salvage yard awhile ago and just didn't
find the time to put them on. I'll include them with the truck. Full spare is under the truck
- I think it's good, I'll check.
Oil gauge is sometimes wonky. It moves around randomly and has been like this since I've owned it.
Have had it checked every year and mechanics have told me to just keep up with oil changes and
regular maintenance. It does NOT burn oil and has never been a problem.
Has never overheated.
No leaks. (When I first bought the truck, it did have a small leak...
but it was from the valve cover gasket - so I had them replaced)
A/C blows nice & COLD and Heat blows nice & HOT!
Bed door has a minor dent in it. See video tour - it's very small and hard to see.
(Below the "R" of the "F O R D.") Awhile back we had a small trailer fall of the hitch while we
were on the back roads. Since it was also chained up to the truck, it slammed into the door
when we slowed down. It was mostly protected from any major damage by the bed door cover
(the silver one with red reflector and Ford logo) which has been taken off.
I do still have that if you want it, but i don't know if it can be fixed.
Passenger side door needs be unlocked and locked manually at the moment. Cheap fix.
I bent the antenna to store it in my garage. Oddly, the condos I live in have really low clearance garages...
and I didn't want the antenna to fling back and hit the truck.
Truck has RV mirrors. They extend out if you need them for seeing behind whatever it is your towing.
I have had some belt noise when there is high humidity, but I could never replicate the problem
while at the mechanic's garage. If I remember correctly, I think I had a friend from Firestone install
one of those "no-noise" specialty belts awhile ago. I'll see if I can look this up.
Window switches have been replaced about two years ago. I guess it's another common thing.
I think I even have an extra one for a backup. Will throw it in if I find it.
Same goes for any bulbs I may have as backups.
