1967 Ford Mustang Additional Info:
BODY: This is a great candidate for a Bullit Clone and an easy restoration project!! That's the reason I bought it but I just don't have time to finish it. The car is very solid and has had the metal repair that was needed already done. The previous owner replaced all 4 panels on either side of the shock towers, the core support and front cross member; front of front frame rails on both sides, strut rod pockets, full floor panels on both sides (front to rear), both seat pedestals, front lower firewall on both sides, inner and outer wheel houses, wheel arch, lower quarter and trunk drop on the driver side. I used a new inner and outer wheel house to repair the lower portions on the pass. side. I repaired the lower rear quarter, front lower quarter and trunk drop on the passenger side with repro. panels as well after I bought the car. Everything lines up well but some of the welding done by the previous owner should be gone over. The front fenders are actually off a 68 and it probably would be easier to replace them than repair. The trunk lid is new as well as the lower valance panel. The turn signal hood and doors are Ford but all need work. The driver side rocker needs some attention because of a dent (not from rust). A piece was cut out around the dent, straightened and welded back by the previous owner. I was just going to use a piece from a new rocker to fix this properly.
INTERIOR: The interior is complete but will need the usual soft parts replaced. All the fiberglass panels are in excellent condition and I have already painted some of them (pictures taken before painting). All the metal trim is in good shape and part of it has been painted also. The AC vents and the radio surround are in good condition. This car does not have the fold down seat option. The rear panel has speaker holes cut in it but I have another uncut panel that I bought that will go with car if the full price Buy-it-Now is used. All the wiring and AC parts are still under the dash and the wiring for the rest of the car hasn't been removed and looks to be in good condition. Original headliner bows are in the car but no headliner. The tail light housings/lenses are nice. Deluxe seat belts are all included but will need cleaning/restoration.
DRIVE TRAIN: I have a 1970 302 2V that was running when pulled a few years ago. It turns freely and should be a good engine to rebuild. The PS pump/bracket, engine mounts/brackets, fan blade, distributer and gas pedal assembly are included as well as the AC idler A core C4 from the '60's is included. If the full price Buy-it-Now is used I will include another 8" rear end assembly with cleaned and painted housing, all new drum brakes; new wheel bearings on the axles, a good set of leaf springs and a good quiet running center section. This rear assembly did not come with the car when I bought it. As far as I know the factory rear end in the car now is in good working order but the brakes will need rebuilt.
TRIM: The bumpers have been replaced and are okay for a driver but have a lot of scratches from the previous owner sanding on them with fine sand paper. All the SS trim for the front and rear glass and over the doors is in fair to good condition. It is all usable but there are some dings and scratches. The tail light trim is badly pitted and I just painted it black. The front parking lights and rear backup lights are in average condition.
GLASS: All the glass is included and is in good shape. The windshield is probably not as good as the rest but it's usable.
FRONT SUSPENSION: The upper and lower control arms are new as well as all four tie rods, All the anti roll bar and strut rod bushings are new. It has new brake rotors/bearings and caliper brackets. I do not have new calipers or hoses.A new gas tank and SS sending unit and the steering wheel shown will be included with full price Buy-it-Now also. The Magnum 500's are 14" and better than average for their age. New lug nuts included. The tires have plenty of tread but are old and have slight cracking. A new door ID Plate is included. Don't hesitate to call/text me at 276-608-7777 or message through Ebay with questions.
Just to clarify - If the full Buy it Now is used the extra restored rear end, a new gas tank and SS sending unit and an uncut rear panel will be included. Otherwise these parts will be negotiable.
