1968 Ford Mustang standard Additional Info:

This is a Jersey car that was built, sold and still lives. The car was ordered with the GT package, S code engine and 4 speed with 3.25 gears in the rear as seen in the attached Marti Report. Car was originaly Lime Gold with the two toned green interior (now black). I also have the original buck and axle tag and the dash VIN tag is still in place. The door tag is missing cause at some point the door was swapped out befor I bought it. I've owned this car since 1987 when it was restored to be a driver until the early 90s when I took it off the road and garaged it. Front floor sections were patched as well as the lower 1/4s. The radiator support, front aprons and the taillight panel was replaced. The interior and suspension was also redone back in 87 also. The engine is a 390 GT out of a 69 Cougar and this was rebuilt. I have a ton (200+) of photos of the car from back then, now and of the parts that are included so you need to contact me and I can provide you a Photobucket link. I also recommend that you have someone inspect the car so you definitely know what you are getting. I'll make every effort to accommodate anyone that wants to look at the car before bidding but remember I work full time and can't take time off for this. This car is stripped out cause I was going to repaint it but never got to it. Car is solid and mostly complete but I dont have room to store it out of the weather.
Car is for sale locally so the auction could end early due to this.
The engine has 22,721 miles on it now since it was rebuilt and runs great. It has TRW forged 30 over pistons (stock 10.5 to 1 compression), Edelbrock Performer intake, Crane Cam (343801 with 548 lift 278 dur intake & 580 lift 290 dur) with matching springs and lifters, Holey 600cfm Carb (needs smaller jets), Ford Motorsport windage tray, high volume oil pump with a Motorsport HD pump drive shaft, new Ford rockers and shafts, Teflon valve stem seals were also installed at this time. I just installed a new water pump, fuel pump and upper & lower radiator hoses.
Installed is a C6 automatic with damage to the bell housing bottom from the previous owner dropping it (ask for photo link). I have the pieces for that came off the bellhousing if you want to try and fix it. It will be fine like this and will cause no problems. All parts are include to install a 4 speed top loader (included) except for a manual transmission flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing and speedometer cable. Transmission is a 1966 wide ratio toploader for a SB Mustang but the pilot can be easily trimmed down to be the length needed for a 390. Pilot on input shaft would need to be shortened by about 0.30".
The rear axle is the original 9" rear with conventional (open) 3.25 gears in it.
The brake booster and master cylinder probably need to be rebuilt. Get the booster rebuilt cause it will be the correct one and it will last longer than the replacements. I have pre-bent steel lines (FineLines) for the front end but the are not installed. The disc brake calipers are new but the rotors probably need to be replaced. The power disc brake distribution block and proportioning valve have had their springs, O-rings replaced. The clutch for the clutch fan should be rebuilt cause it is a little loose and the replacements are not the correct length. I have a flex fan from a Granada on there right now and it fits nice.
The body will need little work depending on what your ultimate plans are for this car. There is a small area where the floor under the rear seat meets the panel that goes over the axle. The panel that goes over the axle has an area that needs to be patched. The front frame rails just had short patches welded over the existing where the front bumper arms bolt on. Welded in nuts pulled out when trying to get the bumper arm bolts off (patch panels are included for the repair). In the late 90s my father decided to install some 1/4s from a wrecked 67 FB. The 68 style depressions were grafted onto the 67 panels. This work was never completed so you would have to complete it or start over if you don't like the work. This also goes the same for the work that was done in the 80s but that work is sound and there are no issues. Headliner is nice and was installed in the late 90s also. There is a carpet and sound deadener that I removed for the photos and will be putting this back in for shipping. Seats are recovered but the back seat has a burn in it (new cover included). I currently can't located the rear seat back but will include it if I can find it.
Included is a bunch of parts that I hope fit in the car for shipping. Some things that are included are fender, headlight buckets, most of the interior, molding trim, GT grill, standard and Tach instrument cluster, standard and Tach main dash harness,GT wheels, tail lights, weather stripping, etc (ask me for the list and pictures link). There was a dealer installed vinyl top installed on the car (see photos) and I reinstalled one but it is pulled off now. The moldings will come with the car. You will need the AMK master kits for the correct bolts and screws to attach these parts. Over the years these have gotten lost or they didn't come with the parts I acquired. The battery pictured does not go with the car as it's for my electric trolling motor. The under hood harness is for a non-Tach car and you will need a tachometer one if you want to run the car with the factory Tach. The main dash harness that installed is not the Tach one and I left it in there so the car would run. There are a lot of parts that will be going with this car and some pictured in the photo album have since been installed. Ask for the list and link to the photobucket album.
Ask me any and all questions before you bid. Please ask for a link to the photos and a list of parts that go with the car. I have a photo album with 3 sub-folders there. If you want to look at the car or arrange for someone to inspect it for you then send me a message.
PLEASE LOOK AT THE PICTURES IN THIS LINK BELOW TO SEE HOW SOLID THE CAR IS AND THE PARTS THAT ARE INCLUDED.
Ebay will no allow external links so follow the directions for the photo link below

Cut and past the link into your browser and insert DOT COM into the blank after photobucket. I can also email it to you with a pdf parts list.
At the end of the auction a $500 nonrefundable down payment needs to be made within 24 hours of the end of the auction. The remainder needs to be sent to me in the form of a bank check (check cut by the bank itself and not a personal check) or you could pay cash in person. Once the check is cleared by my bank I will let you know and overnight the signed title to you. Then you can arrange to have the car picked up. The car runs and would drive but the brakes are not functioning so it will have to be winched onto a trailer. I will do what I can to help out but the buyer needs to arrange and pay for the pickup and delivery of the car and any other fees you may encounter depending on where you live. I will load all of the parts into the car, tape the front and back windows in, bolt the fenders on and secure it for shipping.
