1968 Ford Mustang Fastback J Code Additional Info:

Here is a 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback J-Code 302 project. This car was originally Lime Gold with a 302 engine, air conditioning, fold down rear seat, tinted glass and tilt column steering wheel. I have owned this car for 8 years and purchased it with the intention of restoring it someday. The time has come to let it go to a new home as we have new obligations and other projects that have taken priority over this one and it has become clear that we will not have time for this one for quite some time.
This car has the typical Mustang rust that you will find. You could patch this car up or go all out and replace everything. Quarters need lower patches but are otherwise solid. Front frame rails need replaced, rear frame rails need repair, wheel houses need repair, floor pans and toe boards need to be replaced. I have new full rockers and 1-piece floor which is only screwed into place for easy transport. Alot of work needs to be done before these parts should be welded in place. I have new seat risers and transmission cross-member support. The fenders could be salvaged, as could the doors, but I would personally replace them all and have nice solid metal. The engine bay aprons again, could be patched, but I would cut them out and replace. This car needs alot of work but is a nicer starting point than many that I have seen.
The car is currently in epoxy primer that was sprayed on the car strictly to preserve it until it could be stripped down. It was 5 different colors and I could not stand seeing it like that anymore. This primer was not intended to for a layer in the paint process. Do not buy this car thinking it is ready for paint.
I do have quite a few parts for this car but they are original and old. You will more than likely use very few of them. The most notable part that is included with the car is the fold-down rear seat. Otherwise, there is little to no interior.
I have the 302 engine and transmission (all complete as they were removed from the car). The drive-train will be included in the sale of the car unless the buyer does not want them. We were able to get the engine running before we removed it from the car.
You are welcome to come inspect this car in person but I will tell you, it is a project. If you are familiar with old cars and Mustangs in particular, there will be no surprises here. Buyer is responsible for transporting the car after the sale. $500 deposit due 24 hours after auction end and the remainder in cash or wire transfer. I have a clean and clear Ohio title in my name. No trades. Please ask any questions. 330-592-3644. My name is Aaron.

ONE SMALL CORRECTION. Under the "Item Specifics" section.. It reads, "For Sale By: Dealer". This is not correct. I am NOT a dealer. I am an individual who loves these old cars. This is not a "quick-flip" car that I bought for $2,000 from the old man down the road for the sole purpose of cashing out (as so many others on eBay are!). I bought this car because I saw the potential and value in it, and based on all of the people I have been contacted by, they do as well. I just wanted to specify this as I was asked what other cars I am selling.
