First off it has its originalfactory 289 4 bbl..The block #'sare C5AE 6015E 6E15 which breaks down to motor wasbuilt 1966 May 15th and the cars build date is May 28th 1966. I've done the research and it's all correct. Tranny and rear are alsooriginal. The body tag breaks down as follows
63A) 2+2 Fastback, Standard interior...T) Candyapple Red....26) Black Crinkle and Black Rosette Vinyl, Standard interior....28E) Built May 28th 1966....11) Delivered to Boston....
1) axle code 3.00:1, conventional.... 5) trans 4 speed The rear end tag WCZ-F 8" with 28 spline axles
Some of the cars features are: GT trim package, Front disc brakes, Aux. fog lights in grill, dual exhaust, 5 gauge instrument clusterwith optional Rally-Pac tach and clock mountedon steering column (clock is not working), GT stripe package, GT badges and gas cap, folding rear seat, mint GT wheels, functional rear quarterside vents, tinted rear glass.
This car had a light restoration done I'm guessing in the 80's. I say that only becauseit has a lacquer paintjob and I know that lacquer was banned in the mid 80's. Correct me if I'm wrong. It also appears that the car hasn't seen much use since just because there is very little wear anywhere.
Now, this car is straight as a arrow, and goes down the road like a dream, no drifting or pulling at all. Runs perfect with tons of power. Sounds great with the Cherry Bomb "Vortex" mufflers, shifts up and down with no issues at all. Dry under side, no leaks. Brake pedal feels a little hard for disc brakes but I am thinking that's the way it is without power assist. No power steering. Everything works as it should except for the clock. The console in the pics is just placed there, not installed. The car did not come with console but I had one and will let it go with the car. Do what you wish.
Now for the ONLY issue with this car. Being a older lacquer paint there is some/a lot of spider type crackling marks, it's the nature of the paint. I took the best pics I could of this but it was very hard to photograph. The crackling is mostly on the hood and roof. There are little tiny pin hole type spots on the sides here and there also. You really don't notice any of it until you're right up on the car. To me it looksgreat but if you want it perfect you would need a re-paint. I feel my price has taken this into consideration that someone may want to re paint it. Other than that, it's perfect. there are 2 close up pics of the hood that you can see this in. There's a lot of them but it's what it is. With show paint this car would be in high 40's.
