1950 Ford
F2 Express Truck
This rare and hard to find F2 pickup is a great example of the “Bonus Built” trucks that Ford spent over a million dollars to design in the late 1940's. It’s rounded (art deco) design drips nostalgia andbenefitsfrom anexhausting nut and bolt restoration. Itis an absolutely stunning Ford pickup. It took two years and a large investment to make this vehicle the beautiful truck you see today. It received a complete body off, nut and bolt restoration to better than new condition. Attention was paid to details and while not 100% original, originality was emphasized. Everything was taken apart and restored or replaced with high quality parts. It would be hard to find a morebeautifulexample of this desirable vintage truck. Every inch of this truck looks as good as you see in the photos. The underside is fully detailed and restored. The inner fenders and behind the seat are just as well finished. The attention to these areas which one would never see, speaksvolumes to the quality of this restoration which was completed by a master mechanic.
The F2 is finished in a two tone format of hugger orange and black. The 226 flathead engine and fully synchronized four speed overdrive transmission were both completely rebuilt and run as new. The electrical system was upgraded with all new wiring and converted to 12 volt. The lights are now bright and up to safety standards and are better than the original 6V lights. Turn signals were added both front and rear. It runs down the road straight and is easy to handle. Power brakes were added so it brakes well and stops straight. All fasteners have been replaced with stainless steel fasteners. The completely restored interior was upgraded with leather bucket seats (drivers seat is a 6 way power seat) as well as shoulder harness seat belts for safety. The bed looks as beautiful as the rest of the truck. The bed wood was replaced with new hardwood boards stained black (as original from the factory) and stainless steel skid strips were installed.
Please take time to look over the photos as they are a very good representation of the condition of this truck. If anything it looks better in person.

I have sold many classic cars on eBay and I respect how difficult it can be to buy cars via the internet. Every car I have ever sold oneBayresulted in a happy owner feeling like they got a great deal andmy positivefeedback proves this. This vehicle, I know, will be no exception.
I do reserve the right to end the sale at any time if the truck sells prior to the end of the auction. I can be reached for questions and appointments to show it by contacting me through Ebay. The vehicle is located in Southern Michigan in a Detroit suburb.
