1964 Galaxie
Hot Rods By Dean started with an original one family owned 1964 Galaxie 500 Fast back with 64k original miles. Was originally a 390 powered car bought in Arizona and has all original sheet metal, no rust was found anywhere on this car. Hot Rods By Dean built this car for the 2015 Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour, and the car did flawlessly over the seven thousand mile trip. This Ford has had tech articles in Street Rodder Magazine and will have a feature coming out in the next few months. No parts or expense was spared in the re-build of this classic Galaxie.
All original interior and exterior trim has been polished and or chromed. All bodywork performed to laser straight perfection using all PPG materials. PPG paint is a custom mix Ford Flex Ginger Ale, 4 coats paint, 5 coats clear and color sanded and buffed. New front windshield with all new seals, gaskets and window felts throughout. Class Instruments custom gauge to look factory in stock dash. Custom Audio sound system with mp3, USB outputs and powered sub woofers. All interior is brand new with new bezels, knobs and glove box. Interior metal is painted to match exterior. Vintage Air Gen IV system keeps the interior cool operating through stock dash controls.
This Galaxie rolls on Billet Specialties G-Spec Wheels with Falken rubber. 18X9 front and 20X10’s out back with 225/45R18 and 255/45R20 tires.
All new mechanicals include: CPP Hydro boost brake unit with dual master cylinder. Borgeson power steering box mounted to frame and uses stock modified steering column. Wilwood 6 piston calipers at all four corners. Rear suspension has been upgraded to Ride Tech bolt in 4-Link suspension and adjustable coil-overs at all corners. Currie Enterprises 9” crate rear end with 3:73 gears that are tumbled and dynoed. The power plant is a 5.0 TI-VCT Ford Coyote engine with Comp Billet Cam upgrade. Induction comes way of Borla 8 Stack fuel injection tuned on Duttweiler’s engine stand. Hughes Performance 4L80E transmission backs up the engine with an 11” billet converter with, 2500 stall and Derale transmission cooler. Power to the rear is a Dynotech driveshaft. Canton Racing front sump oil pan and Vintage air Front Runner Serpentine Kit were added to the engine. FAST XFI 2.0 and XIM Ignition modules control the engine and MSD Automatic Transmission Control runs the gears. Fuel is supplied through in tank Aeromotive fuel pump and pick up with Aeromotive filters, fittings and lines throughout. Oil breathes through a Moroso filter topped canister. Exhaust is dispersed through custom built stainless exhaust system including custom built tuned headers with X-Pipe and Borla mufflers.
Cruising all day this Galaxie got 22 MPG and stayed at 190 degrees. This 1967 Ford Galaxie is a modern masterpiece with a classic feel that is ready for your driving or show adventures.
